No, not a couple of ageing rockers. This is Osama bin Laden's son and his British wife on their self-proclaimed mission to promote world peace.
Omar bin Laden, who at 27 is barely half the age of six-times-married Cheshire grandmother Jane Felix-Browne, looked ill at ease as they took in the tourist sights. After having their photograph taken at the Colosseum and shopping at designer boutiques, the unlikely couple were interviewed on Italian television about their role as "peace ambassadors".
Omar, who claims to have had no contact with his infamous father since before the September 11 attacks, believes the Al Qaeda chief is still alive.
"I do not believe my father is dead, otherwise I would have known it - the world would have known it," he said.

I believe Omar bin Laden is quite intelligent — just like his father.

Omar is talking and doing. He won’t find any of the fundy islamics listening to him, which is unfortunate. Maybe he could sponsor a reverse Khomeini who would resonate with the fundy islamics.
He definitely looks like a guy that should be playing death metal.
Dude looks like everything his father is fighting against. His woman doesn’t look like she’s wearing a burka. Omar seems to be fairly secularist (and in leather, too).

If Kim Jong il’s second son (who has a hormone deficiency by the way) can hopscotch around Europe with his total babe of a (N.) Korean girlfriend, going to Eric Clapton concerts, I guess Bin Ladin’s flesh and blood can do much of the same.

I thought this was a humor thread, but it’s the real thing. Still, with the way this year is shaping up, some light, humorous reading is very much in order.
