Fred was never in the race....I really don’t think he ever had any intention of winning....sometimes I feel he was just in there as a favor to McCain to split the conservative vote....I agree with the orinial poster.
That's the most psychotic thought I've ever heard on FR.
I sent Fred $50.00 when he first got in and from that point on I wished I had it back. I saw no fire in the belly and some of his comments made me regret my decision. When they called for future donations that is just what I told them. I’m glad he’s gone. Watch for Huckabee to make a simillar announcement in the next few days now that his job is done.
Why even have a Presidential Primary process?
It was over before anyone barely even started voting.
The pundits are most qualified to PICK THE CANDIDATE.
Our opinion, our preference, our vote don’t count.
This whole Presidential selection process is bogus.
Caesar Chavez and Putin must be smiling.
Comrades, the selection process is finished. YOU LOSE!!
Post 394 is for you, too.

***Interesting perspective, one that will certainly heat up your seat for you. Although it’s a temptation for me to agree with you, I don’t think most candidates enter such a race without intending to win — they always hope to win. (Of course, that doesn’t apply to the Ralph Naders and symbolic candidates who are trying to make some kind of point.) But, they may stay in longer out of a sense of strategy, i.e. they might angle for a VP slot or somesuch thing. If Hunter had stayed in past Super Tuesday, we might have seen a conservative coalescence around him, but we’ll never know.
