Can you imagine the founding fathers’ response to being objectively told about the stimulus package?
Gentlemen: The United States is bankrupt, spending outrageously, defecit spending, with a massive debt, borrowing money from foreign countries, allowing massive trade imbalances, selling stock and real estate to anyone who will buy, with a federal annual budget over 25% the size of the gross national production. The government will overtax citizens, then simply give away checks to certain citizens of their choosing.
It’s an election year scam from a bunch of pussies who couldn’t even pass a budget on time. This is pure vote buying and it is targeting a whole lot of people who will put these losers back in office. Term Limits!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey! Watcha complaining for? Handing out “walking around money” is something tinpot dictators, corrupt politicians and mobsters have traditionally done.
And those big handout checks will turn the economy around on a dime. Wow! I get my 300 or 500 or whatever check and I’m going to start a new business and hire 50 people, but a new luxury car, build a 2nd home, and contribute to AIDS in Africa (though not the way gays in San Francisco contribute to AIDS).
I will take the check and a tax cut ,anytime the whores in Washington send the check I will take it ,I get robbed every frickin day ,vey seldom do we get any of it back,it does not buy my vote or endear me to them in any way ,it is just reality ,complaining does no good voting does not help either .
For those of you who say I am pessimistic I say ok, who are you going to vote for in November and what the Hell difference do you think it is going to make ?
Take the money go out to dinner ,buy your wife some flowers ,go on a vacation to Disneyworld ,just enjoy yourself because in 50 or75 years it is not going to matter
