Serbia has been betrayed by the world. From this day forward, all "nationhood" is liable. No nation is safe, no ethnicity is secure--except those being used to destroy others.
Today, Sunday, February 17, 2008, the Albanian Mohammadans (Muslims) living in the Serbian province of Kosovo have declared themselves an independent nation. They have the full support of Europe and the United States. Only Russia opposes the move, based on some dim, past notion that Serbia is part of the once grand "Soviet Union."
BadEagle.com has been a faithful supporter of Serbian nationhood and sovereignty. With numerous journal entries and many posts on the East Europe Forum, we have noted the unspeakable outrage the world has committed against Serbia. We have noted the history this Serbian province of Kosovo, and how the media has always built it up as a deserving state, always calling it Kosovo instead of Serbia. We have noted how Serbian leaders have been apparently poisoned while awaiting trial in the Hague. We have noted how President Bush went on a special visit to Albania to acknowedge the Albanian people.

In 1986, even before Milosevic was at the helm, Bob Dole and Albanian lobbyist had drawn up a resolution on violation of Kosovo Albanian rights. This was even before their wide autonomy was curbed due to their sabotage and violence against the Serbian state and ethnic Serbs.
The Serbs were continually provoked and murdered (especially the police) by the Kosovo Albanian KLA as part of strategy to bait them and get a response to be a series of excuses and reasons to bring in international forces in case the KLA couldn't drive Serbs out by themselves. When they went after the KLA, the media screamed of atrocities which they exaggerated and failed to mention the armed militants where the main targets.

I wonder if Washington will recognize the new nation of Atzlan once the SW states separate from America.
Serbia may yet reclaim Kosovo with the help of Russia, but America will never reclaim the SW states from Mexico. Once they are lost to America, they will be gone for ever. Bush is a fool or corrupt for recognizing the independence of Kosovo.

I disagree. The US already fought a war to dtermine whether or not states may succede from the Union.

There will always be people (nutty people) who would want to break away from the greatest nation on earth. The vast majority will not want to do this.
Serbia, through ethnic cleansing, and other crimes against humanity, sowed the seeds for the loss of Kosovo. In short, screw them.

See Bosnia. Albania is actually mostly secular.

The Albanian population grew under Serb rule so it was not an ethnic cleansing but a thriving. Those in Serbia proper had a special tax applied to them for funds sent down to Kosovo.
And yes, when the ethnic Mexicans increase their population by leaps and bounds and become the majority in large parts they may try to get independence. There are already crimes and abuses against Americans in Mexican dominated territories.
As for ethnic cleansing - that is nonsense. Muslim terrorists killing Servs - Serbs had to protect themselves. If you want to bring up ethnic cleansing, what about our treatment of Indians?
Clinton killed over 3,000 Serbs - mostly WOMEN and CHILDREN - who had done us no harm and posed no threat to us. That was outrageous and nothing can excuse it.
Hey, lets all run out and vote for the El Presidente of Atzlan. Juan McCain. Must be why the Booshes and all the elites have bought property out of the country they used, abused, and made money off of as they betrayed their own citizens. May they rot.

True enough, but he and Weasley Clark did it in a smart way - bombed the hell out of civilian targets (war crime) - but we didn’t lose a single one of our troops doing it. President Hillary applauds that brilliance and says “that’s the way wars should be fought.”
