With 15 percent of the vote in, the Dems have about 161,000 votes counted. The Republicans have only 60,000 votes tallied.

This is not good. Either a lot of GOP voters are staying home or they’re crossing over and voting for a Dem.

Doesn’t matter if OBAMA was once a muslim or if he did drugs....the blacks are for the blacks no matter what. And the left kook fringe will put OBAMA in for he so clearly represents their ideology....

sense a great disturbance in the force...it’s as if a million feminists looked up from their bowls of rancid apple butter, cried out, and were silenced...

Outstanding post, oblomov.

I agree with you.
I was just making a point that many dems are sick and tired of the clintoons it seems.
With the dems it's all about "feel good" (Gumbaya) stuff.
They don't "feel good" with the clintoons anymore.
They seem to "feel good" about trading an evil they do know (clintoon) for an evil they don't know (obama)
(Either one is a socialist "evil" in my opinion)

Calvin Coolidge’s wife, Grace Goodhue Coolidge, recounted that a young woman sitting next to Coolidge at a dinner party confided to him she had bet she could get at least three words of conversation from him. Without looking at her he quietly retorted, “You lose.”

One of my all-time favorite Presidential stories. While I still have more to learn about him I loved his abilty to say almost nothing and when he did it was short and to the point. Mottos made out of quotes like "The business of America is business" are from the likes of a man we will never see again in the top spot (you have to play to the media now.)

The one thing I can’t and won’t miss... Hillary’s ultimate and final concession speech.

Don't think that she will ever make that speech. She will lose but never make that speech, maybe someone on her team will if any are left.

Listening to Obama right now..HE IS GOOD...it is scary the following he has gathered they are coming out for him in droves. The Republican Party had better get their act together fast and get people united AND to the polls.

Do not believe it when you hear people say there is no difference between the Dem Candidate and the Rep. Candidate. There is a HUGE difference.

Obama will win...facts, economic plans, healthcare, our borders...no, none of that means anything to the Obamite. Its all a feeling of 'hope.' You honestly think those voting for BHO are thinking?

McCain has pretty much conceded that he won't 'go after' Obama...but he would go after Billary. So...be careful what you wish for, as you might wind up w/President Obama.

My dad carried Tail Gunner Joe’s casket. At the funeral, Mrs. McCarthy came to him and said that members of the press were talking about spitting on the casket. He was a career marine and Guadalcanal veteran. He winked at her and said, “Then maam, I’ll just have to draw my sword.” God rest Dad and semper fi, all.

I think Obama is weaker than Hillary in the general election. Other than during Reconstruction, only two blacks have ever been elected governor, and only three blacks have ever been elected to the Senate.

Of the governors, one was in Massachusetts, the most left-wing state in the nation, and the other campaigned as a moderate and barely won in Virginia. Of the Senators, one was in Massachusetts, the other two in Illinois. Both of the Illinois elections were “flukish”. Carole Moseley-Braun won when her idiot Republican opponent, Rich Williamson, flip-flopped on abortion and gay “rights”, and virtually apologized for being a Republican, in mid-campaign. Obama won in an election where the GOP had been decimated by statewide scandals and they had to import Alan Keyes to find a candidate.

For Obama to win, he’d have to carry a whole lot of states that have never even been willing to elect a black to the Senate or governorship. Granted, in many cases they’ve never had a viable black candidate for those offices. Black candidates have two problems. One is that most black candidates are far, far left-wing. Too far left to get many whites to vote for them (The few that aren’t, incidentally, can’t get enough black votes to win). The other problem is that there are still a lot of voters who won’t vote for a black candidate. They won’t tell you that’s the case, but it is.

Obama is riding high right now because people aren’t really focused and they don’t know how far to the loony left he is. But it’s hard for me to imagine state voters that have never elected a black to an important statewide office suddenly going for an inexperienced, radically leftist, former Muslim for the highest office in the land.

Of course, McCain’s a weak GOP candidate, so I guess we can’t say for sure how it will go. But I think Obama will fizzle as the campaign progresses and voters focus on who and what he really is. That’s my opinion.

With 14% Reporting:

Obama - 56%
The Beast - 43%

John Edwards got 973 votes!

McCain - 56%
Huckabee - 43%

As an added bonus, I’ll share that my husband voted for Ron Paul. Hey! It’s a start! At least he’s on the right ticket for once, LOL! (See? He DOES listen to me when I talk to myself about the EVIL Democrats!)

I think that Obama’s talking about the “fierce urgency of now,” and “we cannot wait,” with emphasis in part to communicate the message to early-vote in Texas.

Screw the Rinopublicans in there now. I want conservatives. Our party needs to clean house. People like Lugar and Mc(queeg)Cain need to be shown the door in a way where the door hits them in the ass on the way out.

Oh to be a fly on the wall of hillary’s hotel room tonight.

Watch out for those ashtrays.

Obama vs. Hillary... it's like a twisted version of David and Goliath.

Is this the first time the people in Wisconsin have been proud of their state?

I live in Wisconsin and I think it’s really neat to see that Hillary had to put up with the cheating that goes on in black areas like the Republicans do year in and year out. They get a least a extra 35,000 votes from cheating every election. Also, I voted for Obama like the dems did in the Republicans early primaries.

The Republican nomination is locked up.

Why would they vote?
