We’ve spent the better part of eight years building the Republican Party around Hillary fear, and now we don’t have anything to put up against Obama. It’s a shame, and we better learn from it. A pop messiah is rabble rousing the pop culture, and all McCain can do is belittle the memory of Jerry Falwell. It’s going to be an interesting election year.

My fear is that your statement is true.

I have been quite vocal with my intent to write in this November. That being said, I understand why some folks would want to vote across party lines, to stick it to the Republicans.

I would urge folks not to do that. I understand your fervor, but if Hillary or Obama get in their, in part with your vote, and then do something wrong, you’ll feel terrible about it.

Please don’t do that. Remember, if we hold our votes back, it will be over without us soiling ourselves to accomplish it.

Hold back your vote. Keep your concience clean. And let the RP fall flat on it’s face without you.

If someone tells you that not voting RP is a vote for Hillary or Obama, just remember that you didn’t vote for them. Let others think what they will.

I won’t vote for the likes of the three people still in the nominating process. McCain, Hillary and Obama are not worthy my vote. I won’t disgrace myself by voting for either of them.

Come December of 2008, I’ll have a very clear concience.

What others have done, they will have done themselves, and you won’t have to feel guilty for not participating in a process where the lesser of two evils is still evil.

I’m going to have an evil free November. How about you?

No offense, but can we stop with the "vote for Hillary" threads?

PLEASE, we want to slay the beast and get rid of the Clintons once and for all and she cannot be allowed to get ANY closer to the White House! Voting for her as a strategic vote is not only dishonest (as someone else mentioned) but dangerous! Some of you are underestimating the Clintons' evilness, if they get the nomination they will do ANYTHING to win, they are not bound by the law or any sense of ethics or fairness, so don't be so sure that she is easier to beat, they will stop at nothing for power, so let's not hand them that opportunity by giving them the nomination!!! She is so close to being finished, don't help her now!!!

*sigh*

You forgot to mention that Hillary is more conservative than John McCain!

That just isn't true. You can call McCain liberal all you want to, but that just doesn't hold water.

I’m sorry. I haven’t seen any of these “vote for Hillary” threads. Anyhow, I going to go cook some scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, and broccoli. Yes, broccoli, which George HW Bush (who has endorsed McCain) hates. Time to eat.

If you are a conservative first, find a conservative candidate and support and promote that person.

And if you can't find one?

Texas is a red state. The more Republicans vote for a Democrat in the primaries the more it will look like Texas is turning blue.

Be patient. McCain will spank him so bad

I'm afraid it's the other way round. Obama, the new-found Messiah of We the Sheeple, will give McCain the humiliating defeat he deserves. The problem is only that Obama deserves the same kind of defeat, but won't get it, at least not now...

Let’s put it another way....everyone on FR knows what the Clintons are capable of doing. If she gets the nom more than likely she wil get the pres. too. Most likey from dead voters. She will completely destroy all opposition. I can think of one R senator that wold put up any kind of fight against her.

But should Obama get the nom the Clintons will do EVERYTHING possible to knock him off. The will go after him with vengence! Obama will have a two front war. Regardless of how bad the Republican candidate is he could still win.

I can’t.
I would not be able to attend
my precinct convention.

Otherwise, a great idea.

She’ll be gone by March 5th.

Yup. This whole idea of propping up Hillary is beyond stupid. We've gone through several frontrunners that have fallen to the wayside. Polls about potential matchups have and will continue to change and most are popularity polls that do not take into account the electoral college. That is they are mostly minimal guide posts and nothing more.

Not ending Billary's viability (and always remember that this is a 2-for-1 deal plus all the luggage) is like hoping for the crockodile to be full before they can eat you last. This is no time to let it all ride on a Billary vs. McCain matchup. She's down and it is idiotic to help her back up again. Either way these lopsided primary/caucus margins are a message from Obama supporters: don't even try it.

I agree. Plus the Obamas are far worse than the Clintons.

Hillary is a liberal and a known evil. Obama is a liberal.

Doesn't that mean that Obama is an unknown evil? Americans already know that Hillary is a wicked bitch (that's why her campaign is foundering), but they have yet to get disillusioned with Obama. Hillary would be a thoroughly unpopular President and people would be much more willing to vote against her and her party in 2010 and '12. Obama, on the other hand, would be seen as almost a saint, or certainly as an idealistic young leader trying to change his country with his enlightened policies, to do away with centuries injustice, etc., what not. His policies would not be unpopular, even though they would be the same policies (or worse) as Hillary's.

A known evil is always easier to deal with than an unknown one. This is what my tagline is all about.

Pointless and unethical.

Are you speaking about Hillary's campaign, or voting for her over a Republican?

[Pointless? Probably. Unethical? Surely.]

Why unethical? The primaries are held so you can pick your choice(s) to be the nominee. I want Hill to win.

I hope you are wrong. We cannot afford to see any DemonRAT in the White House. I am counting on some brilliant tactics from the Republican Party to pull this off. McCain is not the nominee I would have wanted. He has so many negatives. You should see all the negative posts on the Free Republic.

Because President Bush has done such a miserable job presenting his case to the American public, the Republican Party will have a tough fight all around the political scene. To fight against the DemonRATs these days, you need a junk-yard dog like McCain. He will be tough and he will fight them.

Some of you are underestimating the Clintons' DEMOCRAT'S evilness, if they get the nomination they will do ANYTHING to win, they are not bound by the law or any sense of ethics or fairness....

Sorry, I had to fix that. I think both Hitlery and Hussein are dangerous. Hitlery is more out in the open about it, Hussein is stealth, and he is fooling a lot of people. He even held a place of honor at pastor Rick Warren's church recently.

Both of them are anxious to hurtle us toward socialism.

Both of them would surrender in the War on Terror.

Both of them must be defeated at the ballot box.

"Big Time" as Dick Cheney would say.
