First of all, the dems have been in turmoil since Bill first was elected. If you are a republican first,go ahead and vote for a dem, not much difference now anyway. If you are a conservative first, find a conservative candidate and support and promote that person.

Or do you suggest "writing in" someone with no chance of election?

That is beyond pointless.
