Saturday Night Lives first show since the writers strike forced it from the air 16 weeks ago will feature Mike Huckabee in a guest appearance, the Republican candidates campaign announced Wednesday.
The former Arkansas governor is not expected to host this weekends SNL that job is reserved for 30 Rock star and former cast cast member Tina Fey.
But a spot on the NBC sketch comedy show will at least give him some extra time in the limelight as rival John McCain works to close him out in the GOP race. Democratic candidate Barack Obama appeared as himself during the shows last episode before the strike, on Nov. 3, 2007.

I imagine he has a good chance at getting both of the votes of SNL viewers if he does this.

Just a crime against comedy :) Frankly, though, SNL has been committing crimes against comedy for years.
Now it’s come to this...I guess pandering to the Amway/Quixtar folks couldn’t get him the votes he needs to win the election...what a loser...

I am not a Huck fan, but I am less of a Tina Fey fan. Huck would be a better guest that that unfunny, female liberal who ruined the show.
No kidding! I tuned in to SNL from Day 1 and thought the original cast were the funniest comedians around. But SNL went flat long, long ago. I watched the other night and found it extremely unfunny.
