These two paragraph beginning sentences show how supremely confident and utterly clueless the “graying flower children” are, relying on their Utopian fantasies as guides on how to deal with real world problems. In this case, centuries old real world problems. They just interceded in Chapter ___ of the same old ethnic conflict and had no clue who was right or wrong. Obama or Hillary would bring us more of the same.

Seems so. Problem is, even with all the "information" available surrounding this part of the world, I still don't know who's on first - or second - or why. I probably just haven't followed closely enough to keep up.
