Kenyan President Mwai Kibaki and opposition leader Raila Odinga have signed an agreement to end the country's post-election crisis.

At a ceremony in Nairobi, the two men put their signatures to a power-sharing deal brokered by ex-UN head Kofi Annan.

--snip--

Speaking after the signing, Mr Kibaki said: "This process has reminded us that as a nation there are more issues that unite than that divide us...

"We've been reminded we must do all in our power to safeguard the peace that is the foundation of our national unity... Kenya has room for all of us."

Mr Odinga said: "With the signing of this agreement, we have opened a new chapter in our country's history - from the era or phase of confrontation to the beginning of co-operation.

"We, on our side, are completely committed to ensuring that this agreement will succeed."

I hope this works. I have friends in Kenya. The widespread feeling within the country is that the incumbent president stole the election.

I don’t get it. Every time a Leftist loses an election they cry foul. And then the bloodshed starts.

I read that a lot of the ‘intenational observers’ claimed that both sides cheated, but that the ‘opposition’ (Obamama’s cousin, Odinga) was out-cheated—barely.

Thanks for reminding us, Fred.

Our media won’t even hint at this connection.

Could be. But the government has vastly more power, resources, and capability to cheat than the opposition.

Actually, the last couple of elections for Moi (who preceded the current president), were also marked by vote-rigging and violence. It’s not a “leftist” issue or response in Kenya.

Ralia Odinga — A Muslim? WRONG — he’s christian

The lawful government of Kenya? WRONG, it stole the election

Rewrite the democratic constitution? WRONG. The constitution was amended by two previous dictators so that it became a parody, centralizing all power in the presidency. Odinga wants to bring in an already written, genuinely democratic constitution which President Kibaki backed in opposition before changing his mind after becoming president in 2002.

Odinga wanted to recognize Sharia as the only law in Kenya? WRONG. The document posted on the internet was shown to be a fake and was disavowed by both the ODM and Muslim leaders. Kenya will never become a Sharia country.

Your post is mendacious, fabricated, libellous pigswill.

Odinga is a murderous thug who wants to impose Sharia law. This is bound for failure. Kofi Annan strikes again.
