getting anything done well at any organization is next to impossible these day. people don't communicate, don't work together, don't respect one another or authority; authority (or what passes for it) doesn't respect subordinates, it's all about "me," people are dysfunctionally thin skinned, afraid to speak up for fear of offending someone and who knows what kind of consequences for that, everyone's sure they're group is the next one to be axed...etcer-freaking-a.
To have as good a run as msft had for so long might just be miraculous.
