... Yes, Bill Buckley was a true conservative leader. We will miss him as we miss Reagan. But no, the conservative movement is far from dead. It's just had some of its pseudo-conservative dead weight removed...
There's a sifting going on, and the conservative movement is still being sifted as those who clamor for last-minute political favor have endorsed the candidate who stands for LESS of what they say they believe. People we trusted. People we loved. But as I've told Gov. Huckabee repeatedly as leader after leader turned their back on the only guy who embraced their beliefs: God can do this without them...
Most campaigns had more of a staff entourage traveling with them than Huckabee had staff. They spent millions to his thousands while volunteers copied Huckabee signs and leaflets at their own expense... They had the "conservative" talk show hosts, the national groups and national "leaders" who from this point forward will be seen for what they really do: follow...
And the new leader of the conservative movement is not a refabricated liberal activist named Mitt Romney. Nor is it the No Free Speech Czar, John (Can I find a liberal Democrat to co-sponsor something?) McCain...
Despite what the pundits and Romney-funded hit men told you, in Arkansas Huckabee cut taxes and fees almost 100 times, saving the taxpayers nearly $380 million - not bad for having to work with a Democratic legislature. Huckabee is also for building that fence and securing our borders... Just ask Minutemen founder Jim Gilchrist or Rep. Duncan Hunter, who have both endorsed him...
There's a reason why John McCain was more interested in serving BBQ with the media in Arizona instead of debating the issues...

Give me a break!
Give me a break!
No way I’m supporting that Christian Socialist.
The faster this asterisk crawls away from the wreckage of his Norrisesque campaign the better. I think Walker, Texas Ranger’s TV show is the perfect parallel. Family friendly. Ok ratings. Nothing really there.

There are 3 kinds of lies:
Lies, Damn Lies, and Mike Huckabee’s.
Bill Buckley had more intellectual firepower in a clipping of his left little toenail than Huckabee has in his entire body.
Surely you jest; the guy is a Huckster who's liberal record on taxes, crime (Pardoning, paroling and commuting the sentences of rapists, murderers etc.) foreign policy and illegal immigration (Free in state tuition for illegals.) speaks louder than his new found words.
As a conservative Evangelical all I can say is I will never support the Huckster. He is Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter rolled into one. Remember folks... talk is cheap, look at what he did when he had the power while in office, NOT his campaign rhetoric.
Exactly why are the Huckabots attacking Mitt Romney? The guy isn’t even in the race and actually did the respectable thing and bowed out.
Time for the Huckster to do the same thing.
bttt....go Huckabee!
Let me try again....
GO GET EM HUCKABEE!!!!!!...WIN BIG TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!
WHAT Conservative movement? The only movement we conservatives have made lately is six feet under, in a horizontal position, waiting for the dirt to fall.
He might someday become the conservative leader if he continues in this direction and continues to develop.
You can say that again!
If Senator McCain isn’t sent a message today, he might take conservatives for granted, and pick a RINO VP. Another deal breaker for many conservatives. If he doesn’t pick a STRONG CONSERVATIVE VP, many won’t even be able to hold their nose and vote for him in the General Election.
Send McCain a message - vote for Huckabee. Plus, Huckabee will have a shot for a brokered convention.
Huckster offers the foreign policy acumen of Jimmy Carter, the political bridge-building ability of Richard Nixon, and the sincere personal piety of Bill Clinton.
Patience. The Huckster's time is almost up. Then he'll be as stale as yesterday's news. ;-)
