I agree. While I wouldn’t force pacifists to take up arms, neither would I be willing to grant them the protection of the arms of the brave.
They want to opt out? Fine. Don’t come whining to those who are willing to fight, when the bad guys come calling.
Just keep slapping em and then look sad and say please forgive me. Repeat, stir, repeat......only cure I know of.
Not all. Some Quakers managed to serve the defense non-violently. A number of Quakers have served as unarmed medics on the front lines, most notably in WW2. Unfortunately, we see more of the sanctimonious anti-war peacenik types
