Inside the hush-hush North American Union confab
WorldNetDaily.com ^ | March 13, 2008 | Jerome R. Corsi

WASHINGTON -- A largely unreported meeting held at the State Department discussed integration of the U.S., Mexico and Canada in concert with a move toward a transatlantic union, linking a North American community with the European Union.

The meeting was held Monday under the auspices of the Advisory Committee on International Economic Policy, or ACIEP. WND obtained press credentials and attended as an observer. The meeting was held under "Chatham House" rules that prohibit reporters from attributing specific comments to individual participants.

The State Department website noted the meeting was opened by Assistant Secretary of State for Economic, Energy and Business Affairs Daniel S. Sullivan and ACIEP Chairman Michael Gadbaw, vice president and senior counsel for General Electric's International Law & Policy group since December 1990.

WND observed about 25 ACIEP members, including U.S. corporations involved in international trade, prominent U.S. business trade groups, law firms involved with international business law, international investment firms and other international trade consultants.

No members of Congress attended the meeting.

The agenda for the ACIEP meeting was not published, and State Department officials in attendance could not give WND permission under Chatham House rules to publish the agenda.

In this case, Corsi does a decent job of reporting what was said at the conference, but the thing about the Chatham Rule is carnival-barker material.

Your blandishments befit your usual BS. About ten seconds of search time I came up with this description:

Chatham House Rule

"When a meeting, or part thereof, is held under the Chatham House Rule, participants are free to use the information received, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker(s), nor that of any other participant, may be revealed".

A search of the two literals, "Chatham House Rule" and "Department of State," yields sufficient results to convince me that it is a practice used in official meetings.

Don't mind wolfcreek, he's a good guy, we're just carrying an argument from thread-to-thread, in reckless disregard for the rules. :)

You might begin to annoy me if you persist. It is not “usual BS” to point out that Corsi is a carnival-barker. The only question is how far someone like you follows him.

Calpernia: The thread has been moved to blogger.

Man50D: That's interesting considering the thread fits FR's own definition of New/Activism is "News and discussion of current events." This is certainly a current news event and is not a non sourced thread. Could it be FR wants to cover up the fact George Bush is trying to destroy our national sovereignty?

Oh no, JimRob's part of the international one-world government conspiracy!

And you folks wonder why there are so many skeptics...

The fact is that the DOS does employ Chatham House rules upon occasion, your defamatory attributions to Dr. Corsi notwithstanding.

So now I'm defaming Prof. Corsi by reminding people of his comments on the record? That's rich.

the fact Bush wants to end U.S. sovereignty.

You sound surprised. Like FATHER like SON. Remember his daddy is the man who coined the term New World Order into the modern lexicon after using the term in a speech to the UN over 39 times!

Excerpt: "WND observed about 25 ACIEP members, including U.S. corporations...."

"U.S. corporations?"

What is a U.S. corporation in the minds of these people? That term is becoming "passe."

That lack of observance to nationhood is one of the problems of the heart of this monster, that must be killed.

Post 70 by the Admin moderator confirms for you it was moved from a category (which I’m telling you was blogger).

“Remember his daddy is the man who coined the term New World Order into the modern lexicon after using the term in a speech to the UN over 39 times!”

Now we get into true conspiracy territory. Find for me Bush’s speech on the UN site, or a cite that shows he was even there that day. You should check the presidential archives at

http://www.archives.gov/presidential-libraries/

You’ll find the archivists are in on the conspiracy by making it seem that Bush never gave that speech!

It is rare for a US president to address the UN. Such an event is recorded in multiple places, in MSM, US Government, and at the UN itself. The conspiracy is so deep that all records of his appearance have been expunged, and false records planted to cover up the secret.

I looked into teh Bush New World Order story and traced it back to an anonymously published book that went into great detail about the speech and what ill it bode us all.

As for NAU, I think there is some there there but it’s being privately driven for now.

“...NWO/NAU.”

We’ll have a clue as to the authenticity of the planned direction of our Nation with the ruling on the 2nd Amendment by SCOTUS soon. Until then, I watch with interest.
