22 March 2008 FOX NEWS JOINS THE "FAKE BUT ACCURATE" SCHOOL OF JOURNALISM by Aaron Weisburd
We ARE speaking of FAUX news, right?
The FAUX news that puts dead blondes and white Broncos before military successes, right?
The FAUX news that was part and parcel of the MSM effort to force the conservatives into nominating McCain, right?
THAT FAUX news?
And you’re still surprised?
Would this be the Cronkite “School of Liberal Thought” at ASU?
I’m not surprised.
BREAKING NEWS: I have to clean the garage and paint it. Film at 11.
If Fox has pissed everyone off, than it is just proof that they are doing their job. If nobody was pissed, than something is wrong. The leftists are pissed, some people here are pissed.
They should pat themselves on the back and go out for a drink and salute a job well done.
Are you a baseball fan?
Smiling at you...
OPINION:
I don’t know, but it sure smacks of creative journalism.
FNC took a hard left a couple of years back. Qualitatively, they’re little different from CNN now.
Actually, it is breaking news, because this article by Mr. Weisburd is a response to a “news” article.
Good luck with your garage cleaning.
I watch Special Report with Brit Hume on Fox News and that’s about it these days.
They should pat themselves on the back for spelling someone’s name three different ways? If nothing else that’s extremely shoddy writing.

“A LETTER TO THE EDITORS AT FOXNEWS.COM”
by Rose Weisburd
LETTER SNIPPET: “The article “Cyber Vigilantes Track Extremist Web Sites, Intelligence Experts Balk at Effort” by Carmen Gentile, which was posted on the FoxNews site on Saturday, March 22, 2008 contains gross mischaracterizations and sheer speculation.
Speaking as someone who has considerable knowledge of Aaron Weisburd’s professional activities and motives, I wish to respond to a number of these inaccuracies.
This freelance journalist writes as if he either interviewed Weisburd, or contacted him and was refused an interview. Neither is the case. Gentile never contacted Weisburd, therefore these passages are misleading:”
Brit Hume is the only thing on FNC worth the eye strain of watching.
That’s not true, CNN actually has news on it in the AM, not just in the PM 4-7 slot....
Why does pissing everyone off represent a job well done?
Shouldn’t reporting the news be a simple thing to do?
I pulled the plug on my television about a year and a half ago, and haven’t missed it for a moment since.
I see the factual error, but this doesn’t justify a “fake but accurate” claim.
Obviously, I agree with you.
even Brit is getting a brit strained these days.
Their coverage of the primaries was so bad I found my self watching (gasp!) CNN.
I’m close.
I still enjoy music programs, some documentary specials on TV these days.
