8 reasons I won't vote for John McCain
WorldNet Daily ^ | March 18, 2008 | Gordon James Klingenschmitt

In a recent WND column, Janet Folger begs social conservatives to vote for John McCain. She believes McCain will rescue "most everyone" from our political "burning building" – when in fact McCain has already locked arms with the Kennedys, Feingolds and liberal Democrats to keep social conservatives "out" of politics while they burn our constitutional republic to the ground.

Like our mutual friend Alan Keyes, I've been a lifelong Republican and never voted third party, but this time I've had enough

Some consevatives will vote for McCain out of fear of Hitlery or B. Hussein Obama; some won't, but will vote for a genuine conservative. Eitehr way, be aware of who John McCain is and what we're really getting if he wins. This article lays it out very well.

A lot of people felt it was okay to vote for Fred who supported McCain-Feingold, and voted for a President in 2004 who signed it into law.

I am just getting the feeling that McCain will select Lieberman as his VP. That will be enough for me to stay home.

I freely admit McQueeg isn’t much, but he is better than the other two AND the GOP gets some benefits from him being President.

The 8 reasons I won’t vote for John McCain are out numbered by the 50 million reasons (democrat voters) I will.

“4 years of McCain bette than 4 minutes of either Hitlry or Hussein.”

Each one of the three would hammer a nail in the coffin of our country — McCain’s nail would be the shortest.

I think McCain is a Democrat who parked himself in the Republican party for one reason: the Dems. have a history since around 1968 of “loathing the military” as one famous Dem. put it in 1969. And Dems. still do loathe the military, but pretend otherwise because they know it has and would continue to hurt them politically if the let it be known.

Because of the rich military tradition in McCain’s family, and his own service, he can’t bring himself to be member of the party which loathes the institution that has been so important to his family. So, he hangs around in the Republican party as one of the arch RINOs year-after-year.

Hmmmm...voting for Juan means I can vote against Klinton. Voting for Klinton means I can vote against Juan. I live in a blue state, so I’ll most likely go with Juan - we’ll elect a liberal in any event.

Keyes is too little too late, he couldn’t even stop that Black Panther three years ago.

McCain is going to win by default I believe.

If he wins without the support of the "genuine onservatives" they will become irrelevant. He won't owe them the time of day and he will drift further to the left.

Other republicans will tilt towards the center and the "genuine conservatives" will have lost their place at the table.

I’ve said it many time already, and I’ll say it again. Yes, McCain is wrong on several important issues. But I defy any conservative to tell me one issue where the rats are better. I’ve asked for that many times, and I’m still waiting for a reply.

On the other hand, I can name several issues on which McCain is clearly preferable to the rats. For starters: the war. If you don’t consider that one issue important enough to justify voting for McCain, what does that say about your commitment to the troops? Are you willing to sell them down the river to express your displeasure with McCain?

McCain has a lifetime ACU conservative voting record of 82%. That’s not even in the same league with the rat candidates, both of whom hover down around zero. Believe it or not, McCain even has a respectable record on taxes, and he is very strongly against pork barrel spending.

Folks, the choice here is not between McCain and Fred Thompson. It is not between McCain and Romney. It is not between McCain and Reagan. The choice is between McCain and Osamabama (or possibly Hillary). If you can’t make that choice, you may call yourself a conservative, but you aren’t helping the conservative cause.

"genuine conservatives" will have lost their place at the table.

Maybe it's time to get past that idea, and remember that it's our table.

"4 years of McCain bette than 4 minutes of either Hitlry or Hussein."

Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer.

A conservative voting for McCain is simply hypocritical anyhow.

"... be aware of who John McCain is ..."

Unless I see McCain and is cronies putting brick after brick into a southern boarder wall ... screw him!

What if you had a real conservative to choose from on your ballot come November. Then what? Are you going to vote for the Leftist anyway, just because he has a fake R by his name?

I will very reluctantly vote for McCain because the other choices are unthinkable. If he wins, I will be in his face when he doesn’t do the right thing and will have that right if I gave him my vote. If I sit at home and then watch two or three unthinkable SCOTUS appointments change this nation forever, I will have to look at myself in the mirror and tell myself to STFU because I helped make it happen.
