Wyoming Governor Backs Obama [Barf Alert]
Breitbart ^ | 4/2/08 | MEAD GRUVER

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - Wyoming Gov. Dave Freudenthal, a former Clinton administration appointee, announced Wednesday that he will support Illinois Sen. Barack Obama for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Freudenthal said he was impressed by the large, enthusiastic crowds that turned out to see Obama when he visited Wyoming ahead of last month's caucuses.

"They paid attention and were riveted and reactivated, and trying to be part of an America that's bigger than just their own self- interest," Freudenthal told The Associated Press. "And you hope that can work. Because something has got to dig us out of this morass that we've gotten into, where it's sort of gotcha politics."

Freudenthal is the second Western governor and former Clinton appointee to endorse Obama in recent weeks. New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, former energy secretary and UN ambassador under Clinton, announced his support for Obama two weeks ago.

Former Indiana Rep. Lee Hamilton, who was the top Democrat on the Sept. 11 Commission, also endorsed Obama on Wednesday.

As governor, Freudenthal is a superdelegate to the party's national convention this summer. In the close contest between Hillary Rodham Clinton and Obama, the superdelegates—elected officials and party leaders—could ultimately decide the Democratic nominee.

When both Obama and Hillary Clinton came to Wyoming, the governor spent time with each. Freudenthal said he had nothing negative to say about Hillary Clinton, but Obama struck him as "incredibly smart" and someone who gives honest answers instead of scripted responses.

The governor also said Obama gave him an honest answer about putting the Wyoming Range in western Wyoming off-limits to oil and gas drilling, something Freudenthal would like to see the U.S. Senate approve.

Former President Bill Clinton named Freudenthal U.S. attorney for Wyoming in 1994, a job Freudenthal held until 2001. He was elected governor in 2002 and re-elected in 2006.

That's almost offensive to the intelligence and common sense of the reader.

Hitler had large, enthusiastic crowds too.

Sooo, because there was a large crowd you're voting for him?

So, had a train wreck been running for president, you'd vote for that?

will the Gov be asked now does she agree with the comments of typical white people or greedy white folks which were stated by Obama
does she agree that having a kid is a burden
does she agree with Obama and does she believe him when he has stated he doesn’t know of all the racist comments by his pastor for nearly 20 years
the questions are endless but I doubt the media has anyb guts to do their job and ask questions

Funny how every endorsment has made the news for Obama yet none for McCain and clinton

why is that I WONDER

Hitler was a great speaker too and was never dared to be questioned off the media just like Obama.

Hitler was not keen on the jews like Obama.

Hitler had racist background just like Obama.

Will Obama kill millions of jews , no I am not saying that but there are similarites of how both have been supported by the media and duped the masses

It seems many dems don’t seem to have a brain of their own for it seems they cannot think for themselves .

They need to be told on what they say and who to vote for

Maybe that’s why they have bumper sticker statements, they are short and hard to forget but remember never never never question them on thsoe bumper sticker statements as they will return with a confused look and reply with er er er it was Bush

And when it came to what we were doing on our side of the aisle???

We were dispondent, fragmented, jealous, envious, etc etc etc...

When we were riveted to “our” particular candidate, we were vilified, ostrasized and marginalized, therefore our candidates were paper tigers in the campaign...

And what particular campaign survived that??? (McCain)

And what campaign is hanging on just to muck up the works??? (Paul)

Seems to me the leadership in the Republican Party has been caught, yet again, asleep at the wheel...2006 was apparently not enough of a wake up call...The moderates and country clubber Republicans have again sucessfully rendered the (grassroots and true conservatives) party unable to maintain or even make up ground for a conservative majority in our government...

But I believe this is cyclical...Maybe next time we’ll have folks that can look back on history and understand what led us to this point...

I thought Freudenthal and other Demo governors were able to win in conservative states because they were “moderates.” So why is this moderate governor backing a far left candidate for president?

I hope WY goes back to the Republicans in 2010. Freudenthal says America needs change. OK he has been governor over 5 years. Maybe he and his fellow Democrat governors elected in 2002 should resign then.
