Huh! I didn’t think there were any of those fundy Mormons here in Texas. I thought they mainly kept to Utah and Zona.

Warren Jeffs was building a new Colorado City in west Texas.

I think one commentator was saying that he was using it as a runoff community to gather those who were most militantly supportive of his status as Prophet, so he would be able to use them in future as a personal army loyal only to him whom he could bring in as a security detail and police force to Colorado City - people who were emotionally separate enough from the Colorado City community to ruthlessly enforce the Prophet's will without any family misgivings.

LDS polygamists have LONG been in Mexico. Fundamentalist polygamist Mormons have been in British Columbia for a while.
