Princess Diana unlawfully killed
BBC News ^ | April 7, 2008

Posted on 04/07/2008 8:46:47 AM PDT by Aristotelian

Princess Diana was unlawfully killed due to the actions of driver Henri Paul and the paparazzi, an inquest jury has found.

The jury reached the same verdict for her companion Dodi Al Fayed.

The inquest investigating the 1997 Paris crash that killed her and Dodi lasted six months.

The jury had to decide if the deaths had been an accident, unlawful killing by negligence, or unexplained. They could not find they had been murdered.

Coroner Lord Justice Scott told the jurors they could not find the crash was an "unlawful killing by the Duke of Edinburgh or anyone else in a staged accident".

Lord Justice Scott Baker had given the jury five verdict options, which included unlawful killing by grossly negligent driving of the paparazzi in pursuing vehicles - a level of negligence he said would amount to manslaughter.

Gee, so you put a drunk driver behind the wheel and mix in crazy papparazi’s and you have to take six months to come to this conclusion?

I would have voted for suicide if that were a choice. A person who gets in a car with a drunk driver and doesn’t wear a seat belt has a death wish, imo.

I’m still waiting for the report to come out that proves Tupac got murdered.

I think this is the fourth official investigation that came to exactly the same conclusion as all the previous ones did.

Can we all let this go? This woman is dead. It is a tragedy, no doubt. I wasn’t interested in the comings and goings of this woman when she was alive. I am certainly not interested in rehashing her death ad nauseum.

The neglegance in the case was and is the failure of the French government to put guard rails in the tunnel to keep vehicles from hitting the posts.

Every interstate road here has guard rails to steer a car away from the pillars holding up the overpasses.

The underpass in France still does not have guard rails.

I got in big trouble the day after this accident happened, when at a family gathering I said,....”The paparazzi are only going to pusue you at the same speed your driving away”

From there . . . it got ugly!

Unlawfully killed? They actually came up with this after all this time? I think what killed the Princess and her friend was a terrible automobile crash. Let this woman go and let her rest in peace. For God’s sakes...there seems to be no end.

I totally agree. The paparazzi can only “chase” you at the speed of “YOUR CHOOSING”. If Diana’s driver was the same guy that drove the white bronco containing OJ Simpson, there would have been no crash. The driver and passengers are fault, not the papparazzi. If this bimbo did not want to be pursued by photographers, she could have stayed home.

Yeah, like the Prince Consort of England was going to murder his former daughter-in-law and mother of his grandchildren. Noble Greek Princes aren't usually known for that sort of thing.

One more reason I'm glad my GGGGGF and GGGGF fought to leave those socialist fleet street brained morons behind.

Did I ever tell you that TJ mentioned in his letters that my ancestor gave him a good cake recipe? We all do our part!

I agree, it is suicide, if not assisted suicide, just like in the JFK case. She had reportedly encouraged these “innocent” photographers all throughout her life, so if they were part of the cause, then she initiated it, hencefore ASSISTED SUICIDE.
