"The Christian Institute, Britain's leading conservative Christian nonprofit organization, has been criticized for being overtly political. It has taken stands against gay marriage, euthanasia and abortion."

God Bless them

Google is run by a group of way to the left of center libtards. I expect nothing else from them than this. Maybe all conservative groups should pull ads from them just to thumb their nose at them

A government should not dictate to Google which ads to accept.

______

They wouldn’t thumb their noses as it would be cutting off their nose to spite their face.

Google already bows to the Communist government in China and the Islamic supremacist government of Pakistan.

Google is willing to censor content on behalf of governments. They should offer those in the West compelling reasons as to why they are stifling political speech.

Google owns the servers where their content resides and therefore, there is no expectation of free speech.

Easier said than done. Google AdWords efficiently brings customers to our site. Dropping the advertising would hurt us a lot more than them. Search engines, operating systems, auction sites are some of the things that don't lend themselves to a conservative alternative. It's not like W Ketchup where you make ketchup and sell it. If you need to be seen, or need to work with someone else using the same setup, the product has to be widespread, usually dominant.

It's the only effective pay per click advertising. I'm hoping that Microsoft can start competing against them. It will make Google behave better.

*************************************************
Google accepts pro-abortion adverts ,, they claim to have a policy disallowing any abortion related ad that also contains religious content or links to a website that puts forth any religious based anti-abortion arguments. They do not reject similar links/ads for non-religious pro/anti/abortion related websites ...

“It does seem to me to be the most appalling and blatant case of religious discrimination,” Conservative Party politician Ann Widdecombe said, according to the Daily Mail and Daily Telegraph.

You don’t seem to understand the ramifications of living in a country (the U.K.) with no constitution AND a newly minted law against religious discrimination (passed to appease the Muslims but applicable to all religions).

Well said, I agree 100%. Anyone who doesn't understand this point should check out this thread.

LOL. So how many conservative businesses have pulled their advertising off of google as you suggested? Would that be exactly zero?

Feel free to take as much issue with my comment as you like, but the proof is in the pudding.

As a company Google has the right to refuse any ad they want.

If that refusal is based on a internal policy that is at odds with the laws of the country they are operating in then they should pull out of England... They can refuse ad’s all they want ... no problem with that..
