Yeah, sleeping under an overpass with 30 other people or in a filthy alley is so much more humane.

In the past, I've actually been pretty close to finding myself in this guy's position...and at the time I told people I'd be living in the woods before I got rid of my dogs.
His only mistake was squatting in a city...If he'd have done this out in one of Washington's National Parks, nobody would have noticed him....of course he wouldn't have had access to the various items of urban flotsam with which he's been able to adorn his abode.

Yeah, sleeping under an overpass with 30 other people or in a filthy alley is so much more humane.The article indicates they referred him to a shelter. They didn't tell him to go sleep under an overpass or in an alley.
