I don’t know all the history surrounding McCain and what he did and didn’t do while a P.O.W.

I do know that he refused to be released when he could have been.

After spending five and half years in the Hanoi Hilton, I can’t imagine anyone not “breaking.” So you’ll never hear any criticism from me regarding that issue.

I made up my mind before I arrived in Viet Nam in 1969 that I would not be captured alive. And I would take some of the enemy with me.
