Until the last paragraph, I thought it was a new article and I thought Hillary had just made a new apology to McCain.
Maybe the mod can modify the title to reflect this is a 2006 article?

It was newsworthy in October 2006. Still, the article is topical today since both senators are candidates and there will likely be a great number of attacks made by the Rs and the Ds between now and the general election.
