The Iranian army commander says the country is equipped with highly sophisticated military equipment that has not yet been unveiled.

I do not know about this so called sophisticated military equipment, but I was stationed at a pilot training base in Texas in the 70s. We had Iranian student pilots, learning to fly. What I DO know for sure is, these Iranians couldn't fly airplanes to save their collective rear ends.

Heh. I am an instructor in Florida and I would say that your observation is totally correct.
My fellow instructors and I have discussed why this is so, (Arabs in general being terrible student pilots) but irrespective of the reasons, you are right.

Still, the Iranian Air Force managed to clean Iraq's clock, sweep the skies, and gain air superiority over Iraq, all with very limited equipment and parts.
