He's Back: Bill Clinton gives his wife's campaign new momentum
Wall Street Journal ^ | 26 April 2008 | MONICA LANGLEY

...As evidence of Mr. Clinton's impact, the campaign cites the Pennsylvania primary, which Sen. Clinton won by a margin of nearly 10 percentage points over Sen. Obama. Campaign data show that Sen. Clinton won by huge margins in several rural counties that her husband visited: 44 percentage points in Armstrong County, 44 points in Cambria County, 48 points in Carbon County and 50 points in Greene County. This compares with an edge of 26 points for Hillary among rural voters statewide. In Bucks County, a Philadelphia suburb that Mr. Clinton visited, Sen. Clinton won by 26 points, compared with only three points in suburban Philadelphia as a whole, according to the campaign data.

Mr. Clinton has been deeply involved in the campaign since the days after his wife's surprise third-place finish in the Jan. 3 Iowa caucuses. With the Secret Service taking positions in and around campaign headquarters, he showed up for meetings, even bringing in bagels and chicken nuggets for the staff. He also brought in his own people, including former advisers Howard Paster and Steve Richetti and his foundation's chief of staff, Laura Graham.

Cheryl Mills, who had been Mr. Clinton's lawyer when he faced impeachment proceedings in Congress, suddenly took a much greater role in the Clinton campaign, where she had been the general counsel. She began arranging meetings for Mr. Clinton and presenting his point of view at staff meetings.

In recent days on the trail in Pennsylvania and North Carolina, Mr. Clinton is showing a renewed energy and the deft political touch for which he was once famous.

The Clintons are a quick study in Nietzsche and "Will-to-Power." They are determined to prevail, expand their influence and dominate the situation regardless of he consequences to others and those who previously supported them.

It is hard to imagine black powers-that-be quickly forgiving the Clintons if the Clinton strategy works. Identity politics has resulted in black interests dominating this election like no other. This will increase, rather than decrease, if the Clintons prevail.

Many see this, but it does seem to influence the Clintons into a pragmatic approach to the ever increasing divide within their party.

Good point and analysis.

It was Nietzsche who popularized the phrase "God is Dead."

God is alive.

Nietzsche is in Hell.

A little lesson the Clintons should heed.

With Bill "back" while Hillary! struggles, they should switch places - Bill at the top of the ticket, and Hil! as First "lady".

Since we already had the twofor for 8 years, they both have reached term limits, so whether Hil! flouts that rule or Bill does, makes little difference for the team of do-anything to win Constitution be damned.

Yes, you are right and an apt post.

I must say, however, while Nietzsche was an atheist his term “God is dead” was used to describe the intellectuals of the late 19th century.

He believed, correctly I think, that people had lost real faith and fear of God; consequently, God was dead as a form of control of antisocial influences. He was so sure of this he predicted the early 20th century would provide a plethora of ruthless leaders who would wage indiscriminate, catastrophic wars. Well, we got Stalin, Mao and Hitler.

I don’t get it. Two days ago we were hearing Bill had helped wreck Hillary’s candidacy, mostly because of his race related comments regarding Obama. Now she wins a primary by a less than overwhelming margin and he is the savior all of a sudden? Of course this is just one article in one paper but I knew the media love affair with Bill Clinton would never end, even if it gets rocky once in a while.

That is all the left. It certainly is Obama, Dean, et al.

The left is the jealous ne'er do well sibling of the human family. The Bad Seed.

We just have to deal with them, disgusting and disgraceful as they are.

Wait, wait, wait, wait. Mrs. Clinton had a 20+ point lead and squandered it down to 10, and this is considered “success”???

I doubtthat those counites responded to Bill Like that. Rather Bill just visited them because he knew where the mother lode was. And the mother lode was these counties.

I agree 100%! The best scenario is if Clinton steals the nomination from Obama and so outrages the Black voter that they stay home to a degree that not only she loses but the lower Democrat ticket suffers as well.

God help us all if she does steal the nomination and wins! The more she gets away with, the more she will try.

I just keep wondering what the outcome will be if the Clintons STEAL the nomination from Obama.

Laura Ingraham keeps saying that repubs have been telling the liberals for years about the deceiptful and criminal activity of the Clintons .. and now the liberals are getting a taste of the Clintons’ treachery.

While I am very concerned about this group forming in Denver who are planning riots for the dem convention .. Soros’ groups (who are supporting Hillary) - are very good at bussing in [and paying] college students to riot and protest .. I’m also wondering if most black people will stay home on election day - if the candidate is not Obama ..??

Exactly. You are very astute.

I always found it interesting that Frederick spent that last years of his life insane.

In the following few days, Nietzsche sent short writings — known as the "Wahnbriefe" ("Madness Letters") — to a number of friends (including Cosima Wagner and Jacob Burckhardt). To his former colleague Burckhardt, Nietzsche wrote: "I have had Caiaphas put in fetters. Also, last year I was crucified by the German doctors in a very drawn-out manner. Wilhelm, Bismarck, and all anti-Semites abolished."[13] Additionally, he commanded the German emperor to go to Rome in order to be shot and summoned the European powers to take military action against Germany.[14]

and summoned the European powers to take military action against Germany.[14]

Interesting that he wrote that in 1889. I used to wonder whether he was possessed.

It appears that Laura Graham is paid for 45 hours/week at the Clinton Foundation.

Is it legal for her to use that time working on a political campaign since the foundation is a 501(c)(3)?

He probably had central nervous system lues (Syphilis). At least that is what one doctor diagnosed early in his illness. He required almost constant care and supervision during the last 10 years of his life--his proto-Nazi sister and his mother were the caregivers.

He wrote nothing in this time although the sister pulled notes together and then wrote Will to Power. Academic philosophers discount much of what was written by his sister as being really Nietzsche's. In any case, notes are not the same as a reflected upon essay or book.

While he had two relationships with women--they were not sexual. One with a woman named Salome was a real disaster since he pursued her across Europe.

Best guess in recent years is that Nietzsche acquired Syphilis when he frequented male brothels in Sicily. Very sketchy evidence of that. Nietzsche never talked much about his personal life.

In many ways his writings, while brilliant, are so antagonistic to Christendom and Biblically based morals they seem to be based on his resentment of the Biblical rejection of homosexual acts.
