"RALEIGH, N.C. - Gov. Mike Easley will endorse Hillary Rodham Clinton for president, The Associated Press has learned."
"Easley was expected to announce the endorsement Tuesday morning in Raleigh, the state capital, one week before North Carolina's primary on May 6, according to persons close to the governor and to Clinton. The individuals spoke on condition of anonymity because a formal announcement had not yet been made.
Easley is a Democratic superdelegate who has served two terms as governor. His decision comes despite several recent polls showing Clinton trailing rival Barack Obama ahead of the state's May 6 primary."

This is Hugh, I’m series! She may yet win North Carolina...
In a state where Obama is polling ahead?
Well, that was before Reverend Wright’s media blitz.
If she wins NC and IN, I don't want to think about it....
OMG!!!! I’m so series!!!!!
Yes it was. I think Rush was correct today when he said Wright WANTS him to lose.
Well I hope then Rush switches his NC OC operatives to Obama...
(CNN) North Carolina Gov. Mike Easley will endorse Hillary Clinton’s White House bid, two sources close to the campaign tell CNN.
The endorsement could give the New York senator a boost in the state with one week to go until its crucial May 6 primary. Recent polling suggests Barack Obama currently holds a double-digit lead over Clinton there, though no polls have been released since Clintons win in Pennsylvania last week.
Easley is also a superdelegate one of the party’s more than 700 insiders who will determine which candidate wins the Democratic nomination. Earlier Monday, the Obama campaign announced it had picked up its own superdelegate endorsement, New Mexico Sen. Jeff Bingaman.
Hillary look we just found Mike Easley’s FBI file!
They can't give her the nomination because then the black voters would leave the reservation or plantation, but if they deny her the nomination when she is clearly in the lead, it'll tick off millions of women and blue collar voters who'll then vote for McCain.
Lolol! Who the heck cares!! I just want that entire party torn to shreds!!
Sandford is governor of South Carolina.
Easly is the gov. of North Carolina. NC hasn't elected a GOP governor in two decades

Yep.....WE’RE SCREWED!!!! My only fear, as I have been shouting this over and over again, is that mclame will chose the dem loser as VP.
I wish someone would tell me what a lame-o idea that is and to stop spreading such nonsense.
It doesn’t really matter if he’s a SD now does it?

“Hildabeast is what you deserve.”
Now if you had said “mclame is what you deserve” then I would have been QUITE offended!!!!
Nah. You are not worthy of him. Hillary is your destiny.
“Nah. You are not worthy of him.”
Thank you for that. It’s probably one of the nicest things anyone has ever said to me (she said with tears of joy rolling down her cheeks).
Hillary will still lose.
I have mole in the Easley admin that is very close to Easley and in daily contact with him. Will have to see what he has to say on the matter.
Easley had previously, over a year ago, talked with Richardson on the phone about being his VP if he somehow managed to win the nomination.
