Aren't southern gentlemen supposedly chivalrous? Yet Joe Scarborough, son of the Florida Panhandle, today exploited Mika Brzezinski's less-than-encyclopedic knowledge of sports to lure his Morning Joe colleague into agreeing that the famous former coach of the University of Indiana basketball team was none other than . . . Bear Bryant.
The jumping-off point was Joe's wearing of a red sweater today, which as a running gag he claimed was in solidarity with the workers of the world on this, May Day. But when Indiana Senator Evan Bayh, a Hillary supporter, came on toward the end of the show, Scarborough pressed the sweater into double duty.

Um......it’s not University of Indiana. It’s Indiana University.
Sorry about that, and thanks for pointing it out. I’ve corrected it over at NewsBusters.
Thanks for posting this. Now both MSNBC viewers have seen it.
Funny stuff.
It is amazing how unathletic and oafish most liberals are, not to mention how ignorant they are of competetive sports in general. Who can ever forget Kathleen Kennedy Townsend talking about how her team, “scored a football”? One day some brilliant psychiatrist will examine in depth the disease known as “liberalism” and try to figure out things like why liberals lack a sense of humor, are unathletic klutzes, and are constantly demanding useless “apologies”, as if apologies accomplish anything at all.
I guess the first step would be finding a psychiatrist who is not a liberal.
Ha. Like when John Kerry was at Michigan State and yelled “GO WOLVERINES!!!”
Oopsie.
When it comes to Mika, Joe is no gentleman. She’s not a conservative, but IMO she works hard and lately has been trying to be fair. Mika often defends Pres. Bush when the late night comedians make fun of him. Sometimes Joe acts like a 14 yr old boy...
