Good morning AB and everyone. Happy Mothers Day to all the conservative mothers on FR today. Congratulations on avoiding the abortion for all the Democrat mothers, it had to be a hard decision.

It appears Miss Hillary is barely hanging on.

I remain amazed that Democrats think a hard left-wing radical racist, with one term as a US Senator, can be elected as President of the United States. Am I the only one who thinks Democrats must believe the voting public is so gullible that they can run anyone and win?

Chris Dodd on MTP? Fifty other Dem senators turned down the invitation?

It looks like the Republicans are still on spring break.

Or early Memorial break.

Or extended Independence Day break.

Good morning AB, All,

Decided to drop in and let you all know that I survived the operation. Had FOUR, count ‘em, FOUR, coronary bypasses.

That was last Monday, was released this past Thursday, am now home recovering, doing very well except things tend to hurt.

But I move about, life is good, I am alive.

First thing I see is Dave Axlerod on Fox and I am reminded of “the campaign”.

I think it’s time for Hill to wrap it up, what you all think?

Now I must quake in fear that Obama might be my President. And Michelle, HORRORS, our first lady.

God gave me a mission with this heart thing coming out of nowhere. Don’t know what it is but everything takes on a different hue when you’ve at life as someone damn near close to dead.

But they ain’t shut me up yet, folks.

Heh.

Good morning and Happy Mother's Day greetings to all the ladies!

Ellen RATner declared this morning that no matter if it is Hillary or Obama, a DEM will be president. She then gleefully told Jim P. she can't wait to see his face on Inauguration Day. Jim said that Mrs. Clinton is finished...her only hope is to run for governor of NY in 2010. Oh, joy.

Help! I just did something to my laptop that has made my screen magnified! I am sure I was holding down Control and scrolling with the mouse pad...only I don't know how to get it back to normal 100% view. Can anyone help a damsel in distress?

All I have watched so far is Fox News. Another boring Sunday. Long discussions on differences between Obama and Clinton which actually boil down into discussions of identity politics. To think that Geraldine Ferraro was fired for saying, " Senator BO's strongest point is he is black," seems silly now.

There is virtually no discussion of McCain although from time to time someone mentions the "real conservatives" are not going to vote for him, etc.

The big news of this campaign season is not mentioned--the gradual collapse of the print media. I note today Editor and Publisher has two articles on this collapse. The Seattle paper has been marked down from more than a million to 12 million and there is a collection of papers in Michigan that are going bankrupt. Add to this the Mpls Strib facing bankruptcy as well as all the other reports one could conclude that puffing liberals does not save the newspaper.

The impending news is McCain and Obama are going head to head on issues. Hopefully soon. Race will be ever present in the background but the foreground will center on liberalism, the war, economy and so forth.

Hidden news is an uncanny belief of mine that seems to be reinforced by some things the Clinton campaign drops. An October surprise? But what. Look for something not mentioned or refused to be mentioned. "Hussein" to come back when it is discovered he was once a Muslim? Personal, something about a second family or something analogous to that? In any case it will be personal and something before 1988 when he joined Writght's church.

McCain can capture the middle if he wants to. Those conservatives who characterize others as "RINOS" can lose elections but they can't win one. They will have decide whether to support McCain and he can do little except be nice to encourage that.

Retired Army Lt. Gen. Ricardo Sanchez,

This is akin to interviewing Gen McClellan in 1862 after he was fired from commanding the Army of the Potomac. What he going to say "Yeah, I screwed up the mission and was incompetent so Rumsfiled fired me"? Of course he is going to try and blame all his failures on everyone but himself. Cannot believe anyone is stupid enough to fall for this BS.

I think what is going on in the democrat party, with Kennedy ripping hillary, is the identical thing happening in the republican party.

The country clubbers are trying to force out their viewed “undesireables”. The Kennedy/Kerry country clubbers are looking to purge the non-old monies and obama is just a useful idiot to that effect.

(see RNC RINOs pushing out the christians)

thanks...AB, for the thread.

....Looks like in the Gen. election: the conservatives have no choices @ all.

Sen. $hrillary "Where'$ My H$u" Klintoon (ChiCOM)=
Sen. Barry Hussein "Rezco" Obama (Muslim Black Liberation)=
Sen. Juan "Keating Five / Strawberries" McShamnesty (CINO / RINO)=
all bad....the American Taxpayer/populace/voter, is (really) gonna get screwed.....be "disappointed".

It seems pretty clear the DBM wants to BE the selector of nominees.

They don’t want the public to realize that conventions are SUPPOSED to select the nominee.

If conventions select the nominee then the DRM (cnn, fnc, pmsnbc) are just reporting observation rather than making news.

Hillar is polling 20 points ahead in a state where Obama should be now ahead after a being ahead.

The DBM is not asking the questions about the convention and if Obama has the gravitas to “close the deal”.
