What’s Nancy’s carbon footprint for this trip?

She ran right over there the moment Congress let out to see if Bush was interfering with whatever deal she thinks she has with the Muzzies.

I've read the full article. I've no doubts they are still planning to dub Pelosi - "Woman of the Year". The author of this piece does a bait and switch.

First describing how soldiers, pro-American allies ignore Pelosi.

But then the author shifts to bombs and rockets going off when Condoleeza Rice went there.

Article: But within hours of Rice's arrival, TV news was crackling with word of it, and soon thereafter a volley of mortars fell on the Green Zone in an obvious message from Rice's detractors. No rockets or mortars were heard heading into the Green Zone today as word of Pelosi's presence hit the Iraqi airwaves in what amounted to a daytime news blip.

It starts out about Nancy and our troops. And no fanfare or bombs for Ole Nance. Then switches to comparing Condoleeza's visit to Nancy's -- showing how much the Terrorists like Ole Nancy. Which, obviously, to the author's mindset means -- since our troops didn't set of mortars aiming for Nancy, this means they like her too.

Yep, Ole' Nance is still their Girl.

Yes, yes, I know.. someone should be checking the author of this article's meds...

I read that as negative, too. Pelosi is ignored by the Iraqi government and the troops. Rice is greeted by terrorist violence. The implication is that not even the terrorists can be bothered to greet Nancy in their peculiar way. Or at least that’s how I read it.

I've just re-read the article; your take on it is quite good, and it is quite possible I perhaps read it too harshly. It was the author's last sentence which flavored my response: But ishe may consider herself lucky if the rest of her time in Iraq was as uneventful as today.

I wasn't sure what to make of it.

Pelosi ought to make every true Constitutionalist sick to their stomach. She and her Obamanation of a nominee are not friends to Iraq. She went and embraced a man responsible for the death of many Iraqis, Lebanese and Israelis: the man who sheltered murderers—Assad of Syria.

Her Obamanational nominee wants to negotiate with Ahmandinejead of Iran who recently called Israel a “stinking corpse”.

Democrats ought not be in charge of our government, yet because of the weak-kneed, panty-waist, pathetic Republicans we have people like Pelosi running the legislative branch. What a shame.

Let's hope we don't have to listen to her war stories about dodging sniper fire.

The Beast has the claim patented.

Spin from the times, IMHO
