Watts would be a good pick in terms of helping McAmnesty get elected. However, I can’t see any scenario where Juan’s ego would permit someone that dynamic to share the media spotlight with him.
IMO, McCain will not pick anyone that is potentially more interesting than he. And especially not a conservative.
The VP will not be any sort of conservative. You can make book on that.
