SAN ANGELO, Texas The day after FLDS mothers celebrated an appeals court decision ordering the return of their children, child welfare officials went to the Texas Supreme Court to prevent it. The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services asked the Supreme Court to stay the 3rd Court of Appeals order and keep the children where they are, in foster facilities, until the high court considers its arguments. Attorneys argued the more than 450 children will "suffer irreparable harm" if the appellate court order is followed and says the children "will be at risk of sexual and emotional abuse" if returned to their parents.
Just who IS behind this raid?
They should arrest my mother. I was born when she was 16. While they’re at it they can raid millions of other homes too since the same stuff happens every day all across the country.
What a load of bull. It is a power trip of unbelievable proportions from CPS and crew.
“They should arrest my mother. I was born when she was 16. “
Ha! Come to think of it, my sister started having babies when she was 16. I know a woman who got married when she was 13 and started having babies.
“Just who IS behind this raid?”
My husband says it’s because someone wants the FLDS ranch property. The FLDS paid $700,000 for it and now it’s worth millions after FLDS made so many improvements. You know, at first I thought hubby was goofy but now I’m starting to wonder. Yesterday, the TX authorities released 12 kids back to their parents with the stipulation they not return to the ranch. Hmmmmm.
“It is a power trip of unbelievable proportions from CPS and crew. “
I agree. I just hope they don’t get away with it. Remember, it all started with a lie.
WOW.
Check this...
The department (of CPS) said it would not be safe for any child to return to the ranch "because the adults on the ranch expressed that they 'aren't doing anything harmful to their children.'"
Soooo, the "evidence" that CPS is attempting to put forth is the lack of evidence? CPS has lost every marble in their collective bag.
Texas authorities are worried that the FLDS children may some day be abused but they can’t say when or how or by whom but they are pretty sure it might happen . . . some day. Ha! Is this my America?
While I’m at it I may as well point out that the fact that my mother was a young mother did not end with me being a young father (I have no children). My youngest sister didn’t have her first till she was 25 years old and my oldest sister was 30 when her son was born.
For that matter my oldest best friend had his first at 15. His daughter didn’t have her first till she was 23 and had left the marines.
>> “Ostler McCarthy, staff attorney for the Texas Supreme Court, said the justices requested the trial record Friday from the 3rd Court of Appeals an indication that it plans to work on the case over the weekend.”
That’s good. The appeal is normal procedure, but they need to get right on it.
>> “[CPS] is an agency that’s out of control.”
Ain’t that the truth. CPS needs to be knocked back HARD. They need much more supervision and much less freedom to pull their extra-constitutional crapola.
Find out who wants the land and which politicians they’ve contributed to.
Are Rick Perry or some legislators involved?
I don’t know any facts, but if you find some you’ve got a case to make.
Fake but accurate. Where have I heard that insanity before? Perhaps Dan Rather is consulting with CPS on this one.
Well, and your father. And whoever out there is perpetuating a culture that tells kids sex before age 18 is okay. And they should ensure that all kids who have kids are NOT returned to any culture that is promoting and even idealizing underage sex. (/sarc)
Find out who’s giving money to the state legislator in this article and if its connected to someone who may be interested in taking the land.
“Soooo, the “evidence” that CPS is attempting to put forth is the lack of evidence? CPS has lost every marble in their collective bag. “
You made me laugh. According to CPS’ interpretation of the Constitution, they have the authority to raid a ranch on the basis of a false report and round up every child. They never did find the “evidence” but I guess that doesn’t matter. They have the kids in foster homes being monitored and by now those poor kids are probably ready to tell them anything CPS wants to hear; the pressure is on. Poor little kids. All they want is to be with their moms. I would not put it past those lying bureaucrats to tell the kids they can return to their mothers if they’ll just fess up.
Thanks for link to article about the State contemplating seizing FLDS property. Good Lord have mercy!! However, if the TX Supremes rule in favor of FLDS, ALL of the “evidence” gathered thus far will be useless because it was gained illegally.
Anyway, my husband is convinced that this whole thing is about that ranch property which is now worth millions.
I said from the very beginning that this was going to cost the taxpayer a truckload and the State agencies and LEO's were gonna duck the responsibility. And here we go.
