Dirk Ziff is a billionaire heir of the Ziff family publishing empire, and a huge financial supporter of liberal Democrats, including Hillary Clinton, and Senators Schumer and Kennedy. He is a major figure in the povery-fighting "Robin Hood Foundation." Both he and his father, sometimes described as "conservationists," have a record of plundering public parks and reserves in order to landscape family estates. The acorn doesn’t fall far from the tree, eh?

I recall an old Forbes mag profile of Mr. Ziff (senior) which opened with a description of his perpetual landscaping at his home near White Plains. One day a hill would be there, the next week it would be there, and the following week gone. Only to reappear again next month. I don’t recall if he drove the bulldozer himself, but he kept at least one fairly busy.

If you follow one of Ziff's workers, David Rathburn, you will find out he was working for the father when he took the rocks in Pawling. A formal investigation should be conducted into Ziff's actions because if there was illegal action, he should be held accountable and not just pay a fine or give a tax deductible gift and get a free pass.

If any other person would have removed endangered species, the town/government would be after them so when will they go after Ziff. He seems to have a record of being very close to politicians who end up doing favors for him and his family. THOSE DAYS ARE OVER!
Launch an investigation into his actions.

It always amazes me that the people who have plenty of money to go BUY things (such as trees and plants from a nursery) are often the ones who take things or expect things to be given to them.

My experience with that “I’m entitled” attitude: I waited on Roberta Flack years ago, and she walked out without paying the check or leaving a tip. The manager’s reaction: “That was Roberta Flack!” My reaction: “I know, and she can certainly afford to pay and leave a tip!”

They are consistently some of the major donors to the democratic party.
This has seemingly allowed Dirk, Robert, Daniel and their cousins (Stafford’s) to wriggle out a lot of immoral and most probably illegal activity. Most everyone else would have been put in jail because not everyone has millions to seemingly pay off counties).
This has allowed the Ziff family (one of the wealthiest families) in this country) to get their own way while most everyone else suffers.
