Ranchers ordered to cut grazing on national grasslands...
Associated Press ^ | Jun 4 2008

The Forest Service says it's trying to protect resources by ordering a 30 percent reduction in cattle grazing on grasslands in southwestern North Dakota.

Some ranchers were surprised by the order.

Doug Pope is the president of the Little Missouri Grazing Association. He says the Medora District has had more than 4 inches of rain this spring. He says a lot of people thought Forest Service letter ordering the cuts was unwarranted.

The Forest Service manages grazing on about 1 million public acres on the National Grasslands.

Ron Jablonski is the Forest Service ranger for the Medora District. He says the 30 percent cut is based on the condition of the ground and the lack of moisture going back to last fall. He says even spring rain would not catch up.

Jablonski says the agency is trying to work with the ranchers.

Limit grazing = higher food prices.

We are going to have some really big trouble in the country. Civil unrest and “Passive Resistence” are on the way.

"Jablonski says the agency is trying to work with the ranchers."

"Some ranchers were surprised by the order."

There could, hypothetically, be a small number of remote and isolated ranchers that didn't get contacted by Jablonski's boys...making both of the above statements true. Otherwise, at least one of the statements would be false.

Some enviornuts would rather see it burned instead of used for honest people.

About 15 years ago the Sagebrush Rebellion was in full force. The BLM and Forest Service started SWAT teams. It ended quickly.

I think one of the biggest mistakes in the Constitution is a lack of limitation of land ownership by the federal government in each state. Many of the western states are over 50% federal land. These ranchers should have the opportunity to buy this land including all mineral rights.

Many western counties are over 95 percent federal and some over 98 percent federal.

The eco-nuts have been getting every use banned on the former “ Land of Many Uses.”

I've been interested in the "Last Days" spoken of in the Bible lately because I think it's basically here. The food shortages are talked about in most parts of the world. If we are too stupid to drill for our own oil, burn our food, and starve our livestock, how can we feed the world?

The big question will be when we are eating, even if it costs an arm and a leg, what will the rest of the world think of us? I think the nukes will fly. If millions are starving and we have food, what would you do if your people were starving? If we get Obama as prez, that's the last holdout in the world that hasn't fallen to Marxism. There will be no limit to the insanity.

Jablonski says the agency is trying to work with the ranchers.

Bureaucratic double speak:
