Breathe deep...and get over it: Clinton supporters should mourn, but how could they vote for McCain?

I’m feeling sorta scorched myself. I don’t want to vote for McCain.
If Obama is the alternative, I probably won’t have to vote for McCain, since McCain should beat him by a healthy margin without any help from me.

I think she meant Hillary’s supporters vs. Obama’s, but either way, she’s wrong. I think the democrats will be stunned at how many of their flock cross over to vote for John McCain in November.

I agree, because, make no mistake, Hellary has only just begun her campaign for 2012. She will do whatever it takes to scuttle Barama's chances in order to place McCain in office.

Unless, of course, Yobama puts her on the ticket. Then, it's Plan B--inviting him out to a picnic in Fort Marcy park.

And, since McCain has begun actively seeking the HRC crowd, the Pubbies won't miss my vote.

Check out this article by a liberal democrat:
http://nymag.com/news/imperialcity/47551/

I just read all of the comments and it seems that most democrats do not want to vote for Obama. This comment impressed me the most:

Or maybe you should worry because he’s been exposed as not being the golden child you all hoped for; he is that same as any other politician (some might even say worse), but without the experience. He has the same questionable associations (Rezko, Ayers, etc) one of whom (Wright) he threw under the bus as soon as he became a liabilty. He has the same questionable dealings (HAS taken money from lobbist, the Rezko house situation, investment conflicts, etc) He has been caught in flat-out lies (How quickly NAFTAgate was swept under the rug by the press, not to mention all the lies about his past or his continual flip-flopping on Iraq depending on his audience) Throw on that his lack of accomplishment in either the Illinois legislature or the Senate, his naivete regarding international politics, particularly in regards to Hamas and Iran, his extremely liberal voting record and history of NOT being a uniter, and you have one awful candidate for president whatever his race may be.

The fact of the matter is ever since the Texas/Ohio primaries, when the pundits were saying it was the end of the road for Clinton, she won primaries in Texas, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, West Virginia, Kentucky, Puerto Rico and South Dakota, while Obama has only won primaries in North Carolina, Oregon and Montana. That’s only 3 out of 11, yet he has been saved by the flood of superdelegates, foolishly toeing the democratic party line, blind to the will of the people, eager to annoint him despite his continued downward spiral as his true self comes to light. Honestly, I question whether many of the early primaries he won would still go his way with all that has been revealed about him since then.
I am black, I am in my 20s, I always considered myself a democrat, but I will NOT be voting for Obama in November!!

If you could vote for Clinton or Obama then you can vote for anyone, maybe even McCain... your moral compass is broken. My guess is that we’ll see very little crossover RAT==>McCain votes in November,, and a slightly higher Rat “stay home” number.

That is the substance, the essence of Obama.

I've been thinking about that for some time, since Obama fits the description of "grandiose narcissism" perfectly. This is from a three-part essay by Dr. Sanity back in 2005:

The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders - Fourth Edition (DSM-IV) of the American Psychiatric Association as: "A pervasive pattern of grandiosity (in fantasy or behavior), need for admiration, and lack of empathy."

According to the DSM-IV, the disorder begins by early adulthood and is indicated by the subject exhibiting at least five of the following:
1. An exaggerated sense of self-importance
2. Preoccupation with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love
3. Believes he is "special" and can only be understood by, or should associate with, other special or high-status people (or institutions)
4. Requires excessive admiration
5. Has a sense of entitlement
6. Selfishly takes advantage of others to achieve his own ends
7. Lacks empathy
8. Is often envious of others or believes that others are envious of him
9. Shows arrogant, haughty, patronizing, or contemptuous behaviors or attitudes

For many on the Left side of the political spectrum, it is axiomatic that Narcissism is inextricably linked to business, Capitalism, individualism, and the pursuit of profit. The Left has idealized certain social and political systems because they suppressed the individual and elevated the state, insisting that individuals had no right to exist for their own selves, but only to serve others....

But what is not generally or readily seen (either on the Left or Right) is the flip side of "selfish" or "grandiose" Narcissism-- and that is what I will call Narcissism rooted in idealism, rather than selfishness, or "idealistic" Narcissism. This second kind of Narcissism (the flip side of the coin, if you will) is less obvious to an observer, since it is disguised with a veneer of concern for others. But it is equally—if not more—destructive and causative of human suffering, death and misery. Both kinds of Narcissism are a plague on the world; and both are well-traveled avenues for limiting freedom and imposing tyranny. The "grandiose" Narcissism is the stimulus for individual tyrants, while the "idealistic" Narcissism leads to groups imposing their will on others.

The REAL question is, with a Democrat controlled House and Senate, do you really believe that any truly conservative judges will pass Judiciary hearings and a full Senate vote? It may be possible, but I wouldn't hold my breath. Additionally, the judges that are up for retirement are the more liberal ones, so it could possibly be, at best a wash. I don't like this either, but we've done it to ourselves.

Do you want to take that chance? What if everyone who is uneasy about McCain does not vote? McCain wants to pander to the leftists and be patted on the back by the media. He is a typical politician will get some things right and be wrong about other things. Obama has seen himself as the American Lenin since childhood and wants to turn America into a Soviet style dictatorship. Obama might not get that far but he and the far left will push things in that direction as far as they can.

They’ll stay home the same way the conservatives stayed home and allowed slick willie to ascend to the presidency.

At least this development won’t bring us another 9/11.

Howard Dean’s team joined McCain in 2006 for his presidential run. Google “Democrats for McCain” and 2006.

If Dean loses this election, it’s because his little monster “got away from him”.

There ARE Democrats I’ve heard in conversations in restaurants and elsewhere who’ve remarked during the primary that they could not vote for xxxx if Hillary/Barack did not get the nomination.

I don’t recall why the Clinton supporters did not want Obama, but the Obama supporters had grown over time (20 years, not 3 months) to loathe the Clintons. Also there was the whole Reagan-BUSH, Reagan-BUSH, BUSH-Quayle, CLINTON-CLINTON/Gore, CLINTON-CLINTON/Gore, BUSH-Cheney, BUSH-Cheney, CLINTON-CLINTON-? oligarchy that they wanted to see end.

Those on FR who opposed Operation Chaos and keeping Hillary in the race said that Obama was NOT electable. We will see. We will see.

Poll after poll shows BO beating McCain. The old adage is that polls dont matter till after Labor Day but with all of the negative facts surfacing on BO and he is still leading, it makes you wonder. Then again, I really think a large percentage of Americans are oblivious to what is reported in the media. This group of people will pull the Dem lever in November.

This “Hillary supporters will vote for McCain” sounds like media spin and not reality.

In fact, anyone celebrating Hillary supporters voting for McCain...and claim to be conservative....has just surrendered their conservative-card.

Hillary supporters would not even consider McCain unless he was as socialist as Hillary.

The two Parties get closer every year. Doesn’t make much difference who we vote for.

It was McCain who “Reached accross the isle” and voted for Ginsberg in the first place. He also voted for Souter and correct me if I’m wrong, Stevens.

As far as how he will appoint Judges, follow his actual record. They all look very Liberal from what I can see. And he disgraced Alito with the; “He wears his Conservatism on his sleeve.” comment.

As far as “listening” to Conservatives, just follow his record there also, and look at the bills he has sponsored; McCain/Kennedy, McCain/Feingold, McCain/Lieberman, the list goes on for this Liberal loving RINO.

I simply can not support him or vote for him. (My way of saying “thanks”, for all those years of betrayal.)

They are using the same logic as the McCain supporters who think that conservatives have no choice but to vote for McCain.

One must also look at the way the media is spinning Global Warming, Oil Company greed, Alternative Pie-in-the-Sky energy and the war in Iraq.

Public opinion overwhelmingly believes that the Democrats are best for the economy, jobs, the environment and national security. (By making the rest of the World love us again.)

The words “Republican” and “Conservative” have become profanity in the eyes of the public. Which is why McMean/Green has shunned us and is pandering to the Liberals and the Gorebull Warming crowd.

Clinton supporters should mourn, but how could they vote for McCain?

Punch out the chad, flick the little lever, fill in the circle or oval, touch the proper spot on the screen, or circle his name on the paper.

It's easy.

I think the democrats will be stunned at how many of their flock cross over to vote for John McCain in November.

The question is, will it be enough to make up for the Republicans who leave the top of the ballot unmarked, and for all the African Americans who, if it had been Hillary and B. Hussein had not been running, would not have voted at all.

We shall see.

The Dems will vote for Obama regardless of what they are saying now. Five months is forever in politics.

Maybe, but there are bunches of older, union type, Democrats who would never ever vote for a Black man, never. These older folks are among the highest turnout groups, and they may see John McCain as "one of them", even if he is nominally a Republican.

McCain will be tarred and feathered weekly daily, even hourly as the election approaches.
