Typical male strengths - focus, dedication, self-belief - might thrust men up the ladder at work and lead them to do most of the talking in certain contexts - in meetings, in Parliament, in the law courts, in tutorials, in panel discussions on television: contexts in which conversation has a purpose.
So basically, she is saying that men talk about things that matter, while women don't?

“Recent research shows there are essential differences in the functioning of the male and female brain.”
It took them how long to figure this out?
Men are not “boring” for the most part, they just don’t talk the way women do. Ladies, quit trying to turn your man into one of your girlfriends!
Generally speaking, and this is very general, women talk to connect, while men talk to convey. When a man and woman are talking to each other, they often might as well be speaking different languages. Keep that in mind, and quit judging your man by woman’s standards. He’s not a woman.

So basically, she is saying that men talk about things that matter, while women don't?If she isn't, she should be because it's generally true. A lot of husbands are simply worn down by the incessant chatter and nagging and therefore become "boring".
A fitting corollary to this would be "men only listen to things that matter, while women won't shaddup about things that don't"

What is boring here is NOT gender. It is the method of communication. The women who are whining here are all about talk. They cannot be pleased. That want to have men listen to the narcissistic chatter about themselves or they expect men to talk about subjects which they are interested in. Desirable relationships between men and women have chemistry. And chemistry has a lot to do with non-verbal communication. On the internet, I am a very verbal fellow. But in person, the best communication is most often the non-verbal kind. And that does not always have to be between a man and a woman. As kid my parents did not have to say a lot to me, I could enter a room, soak up a couple of minutes and know all I needed to know and what was expected of me, all without the utterance of a single word.

Am I boring?
Well, when you think about it, there are three ways to answer that question. Now, the first thingn to know is that I grew up in New Jersey. Not in one of the big cities. Well, it was a midium-sized city. Or slightly bigger than medium-sized. Anyway, the important thing to remember is that I'm not boring. Now, in New Jersey there are things that we called turnpikes. You might call it a super highway, anyway ...

The only ones that are boring are the feminized and metrosexual types. (Obama, are you listening?)
