About 50 protesters marched in downtown Los Angeles on Saturday to decry violence by illegal immigrants and to demand that the Los Angeles Police Department change its controversial policy limiting when someone can be questioned about their immigration status.
The marchers, including anti-illegal-immigration Minutemen and local community activists, also called for justice for Jamiel Shaw II, 17, a black athlete who was shot and killed in March by an alleged gang member who was in the country illegally.

“Counter protestors called the marchers ‘racist’”
Many of the marchers were black, marching for justice for a young black athlete’s killer so it is time to retire this tired old “racist” argument.
That's rich, they killed Jamiel because he was black, then when there's a protest, they carry Mexican flags and accuse the marchers of being "racist".

Self promotion by claims of racism is being preempted by two 'new' groups,
neither of which is a "race".
The only thing that matters is how a term is perceived and they can create the perception by repetition.
(It is interesting that BHO is running his race based campaign just when the term is being co-opted by others - unless, of course, it turns out that he really is a muslim.)

The article describes the protestors as a crowd of about 50. Had it been the same number, but in favor of illegal immigration, is it fair to assume the crowd would have been described as “thousands take to the streets to protest...” and would there have been the same wide angle photos showing the actual extent of the crowd?

I was pretty shocked to learn that half of the students in the LA Unified School District don’t even speak English.
I hadn’t realized it was quite THAT bad.
A bit more digging revealed that two ethnic groups had about 80% graduation rates, one had 60%, and another had about 40%. The overall rate was 44%. I’ll leave it to you to discern what all that information infers. Suffice it to say that the tax payers of LA & Califoria are spending over $20,000 per year for every high school graduate.
It’s not just LA—unless something is done about this, our whole nation is screwed.
Sadly, I think if this had been a pro-illegal march, far more people would have showed up...
