We ain’t talking Mother Teresa here. He had become a bitter,angry, ranting man who believed if he peppered his routine with enough profanity people would laugh, cause gee “George Carlin is being shocking and daring and rattling the culture” So that means he is being funny.
He was funny at one time. But listen to his recent comedy. I suggest the routine about pro life being anti woman. You don’t hear humor, not even dark humor. You hear hate, contempt, lie after lie. This is not poke them with a stick and get them to pay attention comedy. It is slash and burn take no prisoners.
I see no reason to elevate a man who hated everything I care for to some kind of holy status because he provided some real humor in the past.
