Would this really pass muster with snopes?

Do you dispute the data, which has been widely circulated. Gore has yet to deny the facts, which are available thru public records.

How can the guy green his house and wind up with a bigger bill? It makes no sense.

Of course it could make sense. Perhaps he and his family spent more time in the house than they did the preceeding year raising usage despite the costs being cheaper. Weather conditions from one year to the next could also explain increased usage. Maybe he added some new electrical appliances, equipment, etc. There are a lot of reasons to explain an increase in usage.

The point is that this guy lives in mansion that consumes far more than the average person's home. Yet, Gore continues to ask the average American to sacrifice to control global warming while he lives a lifestyle that is profligate in the use of energy. It is the definition of hypocrisy. Let them eat cake.

I don’t “dispute” the data, I question it. And things widely circulated on the internet, and things not denied, are not necessarily so.
The whole thing is unbelievable. Gore is regularly globetrotting, who’d stay home when the world is waiting to adore him? How many people living in his house? Why did all that upgreening result in a bigger bill?
And why is it we can get Gore’s utility bill but not Obama’s birth records?
All rhetorical questions, I don’t really expect anyone to have actual answers.
(Just in case anyone thinks I’m defending Algore: not. There are plenty of ways to nail him for hypocrisy, the Original Sin among Democrats and adolescents everywhere. Needing to prove it is like needing to convince someone of the heliocentric model.)
