Missouri Governor Signs Law Targeting Illegal Aliens
NumbersUSA.com ^ | July 10, 2008

Missouri Governor Matt Blunt signed into law today legislation that will make it harder for illegal aliens living in the state to receive benefits and harder to find jobs.

The new legislations requires all public employers to use the E-Verify system to verify the legality of a potential employee and requires and individual to prove their citizenship status before receiving state benefits such as food stamps and housing. The bill also punishes those localities that adopt policies to not cooperate with federal immigration authorities.

Missouri joins Arizona, Oklahoma, and Georgia in instituting state-wide anti-illegal immigration laws. So far, the laws in these states have been successful at removing the "jobs magnet."

This is good news. The illegals must be expelled. If they want to immigrate to the United States they can do what my mother did: Play the the rules and come here legally.

Must have been inspired by the tale of success as reported in the WashPost yesterday.

The illegals are leaving Prince William County VA in notable numbers.

County Council chair Corey Stewart has stood up to a nonstop litany of (predictable) whining from lefties and “advocates” for the illegals (e.g., “Mexicans Without Borders”). The man should be elected to national office.

Another smart governor steps to the plate and takes a stand for AMERICAN citizens. Let CA have them all and pay their wages, benefits, and incarceration expenses.

You’ll find out if it was worth it when it rains.

If they have nothing to add, they probably should not be accepted LEGALLY either.

Most countries make you prove that you have something to add to THAT country in order to apply for a resident visa to be there. Also, you must show you are not taking a job away from one of their citizens.

Illegal immigration is bad enough in the United States. But we need to also start drawing the line on legal immigration if all that is coming in is an underclass with no allegiance to our country, just sending money back out to be spent in other economies.

That’s my guy, Matt Blunt for President. I hope someday he will run but I’ve heard he doesn’t speak well and that’s a requirement amongst those who aren’t educated about issues (i.e. obama lovers).

Matt seems to always take the strong conservative position.

Uh-Oh. This means more illegals are headed to North Carolina. This state doesn’t seem to have any problem with them being employed illegally here. The place is full of them and getting fuller.

Good. Illegal aliens should receive no benefits. They should be deported.

Matt is a great guy but he is too nice to play politics. He is finishing his first and only term since he is not running for re-election. His mother is my father’s cousin so he is a distant relative. He is a great conservative and would make a great Senator or Congressman. Perhaps he would be good to fill his father’s seat if Roy Blunt runs ever retires or takes on Claire McCaskill. Only time will tell.

You’re saying he’s good and decent so he’s not corrupt enough to run for President? Figures.

You’re a distant relative? If you come in contact, please give him my regards and encourage him to understand that, we the people, wish we could have more like him but I understand, if he’s not callous and money grubbing, not an asshole or a player, he can’t play politics. What a shame our country is coming to this.
