Our mission is to inspire Americans to pressure their representatives in government to do whats necessary for the United States of America to become energy independent. Included in this mission is a commitment to remind all American Citizens of the powerful premise on which our Constitution was based:

The website has been created to dispel the Environmental Lobbys "less-than- honest list of reasons for America not to seek energy independence. Some of these reasons border on hair-brained. For example, just the other day were told that we must start building "Lily Pad floating communities to save the survivors of Global Warming." The melting ice will flood land, and create islands; even causing the City of London to go under, leaving millions of people without a place to live. The next news story? Charlotte S.C. temperature hits 123-year low on July 2nd, 2008.

When is legislature going to be passed to prevent crude oil commodity trading from manipulating the law of supply and demand regards crude oil?
In short, there are no curbs to prevent commodity traders from buying huge amounts of crude oil WITHOUT TAKING DELIVERY and thus preventing the supply from being replenished. The traders are CREATING a shortage and at the same time, benefiting from the rise in cost.

The PUMP Act Prevent Unfair Manipulation of Prices.
Under the current model, traders can buy oil and natural gas even though they dont have to deliver the product to consumers. Other commodities (like corn, for example) require taking delivery on a percent of the purchase thereby keeping the supply open and flowing. Not so with crude oil they dont have to move any product. The traders own it, but the product stays in place, and clogs up the supply. In other words, the movement of crude oil comes to a stand-still. In simple terms, production stops, the pipes are full, and prices soar. Thats exactly what is happening.
Our free enterprise system is balanced by the law of supply and demand. The price of crude is being is manipulated, not by supply and demand, but by hoarding by commodity brokers.
Why isnt anyone talking about this?

No one is talking about it because it isn't true. You just don't understand how commodity markets work.
Prices are not being manipulated.

In order to not take delivery, a trader has to liquidate his long positions before contract expiration. That means the oil he did have is now back on the market, which would reduce prices in the nearby.
In short, no one's talking about it because it's a flawed concept.

Bush has lifted the ban on offshore oil drilling, and the Congressional ban expires on September 30 of this year.

It means we are pumping everything we can. There are no closed valves. There is no oil or gas just sitting in the lines. That’s what it means.
