with the deal that Rush just signed he could fund an account with no trouble at all.
Pony up and show the rest of us how it’s done

Ummm... I have never known Rush to promote a fundraiser without making his own donation to the cause.

Rush “ponies up” all the time.
$300,000 every year to the Lymphoma Leukemia Society.
Matched the $2.1 MILLION winning bid for the Harry Reid smear letter. Proceeds went to a Marine Charity.
And these are just the ones we have heard about. Despite the conventional thought, Rush doesn't publicize his good works.
On FR, we praise success, we don't play the class envy card.

I am sure that he has. Don’t forget his 2.1 million matching check not long ago for I think soldier’s kids, the blood disease benefit he does yearly, and goodness knows what all.

He's "shown us how it's done" plenty of times before. Besides, you don't "pony up" when you give money freely. That's envy talking.
To: misterrob
Yes, Rush
could fund the entire thing himself but then that would deprive all of us doing the right thing for the right reason.
It's a matter of generosity but maybe you think that only the very rich should be generous.

Oh, I’m sure Rush has given. He just won’t trumpet his donations.

He might even match it.

Rush is extremely generous to the causes that mean a lot to him. I imagine that he’s given handsomely to this one, but we’ll never know how much, because he won’t toot his own horn about something this private.

You are a total fool!
If you think for one moment that Rush didn’t give generously, you need to take a moment to reflect on the accomplishments you’ve made in YOUR life...You were lucky to be born at all!
