He's "shown us how it's done" plenty of times before. Besides, you don't "pony up" when you give money freely. That's envy talking.

Yes, Rush could fund the entire thing himself but then that would deprive all of us doing the right thing for the right reason.

Rush is extremely generous to the causes that mean a lot to him. I imagine that he’s given handsomely to this one, but we’ll never know how much, because he won’t toot his own horn about something this private.
