Indias information technology capital, the southern city of Bangalore, was rocked on Friday afternoon by a series of eight small bomb blasts that killed at least one person and injured nearly a dozen others.
The blasts happened in quick succession at about 1.30pm local time and caused temporary traffic chaos in the city, which is the hub of Indias global software outsourcing business. Known as Indias Silicon Valley, Bangalore is home to 1,500 companies such as Indias Infosys Technologies and offices of global groups such as Microsoft, IBM and Intel.
Authorities said the bombs were placed at traffic circles, near bus stops and other locations along important thoroughfares, including the road to Electronic City. They were triggered by timer devices and had metal bolts to add to their damage.

A day after, another bomb found in Bangalore
NEW DELHI: A day after a string of eight low intensity bomb blasts rocked Bangalore that killed one and injured several others, another live bomb was reportedly found near Forum Mall in Bangalore’s Koramangla area.
The bomb has now been defused.
Police cordoned off the area and blocked the entire stretch leading to the mall. Traffic has been diverted from Hosur Road and Koramangla.
Following the bomb scare, the police commissioner of Bangalore, Shankar Bidri also reached the area. Bidri has requested the locals to remain calm.
The National Bomb Detection squad rushed to the spot to conduct more checks.
On Friday the IT city was rocked by eight low-intensity blasts that killed one and injured several others.
More details awaited.
Cradled in the lap of majestic mountains of the Himalayas, Kashmir is the most beautiful place on earth. On visiting the Valley of Kashmir, Jehangir, one of the Mughal emperors, is said to have exclaimed: "Gar bar-ru-e-zamin ast; hamin ast, hamin ast, hamin asto!"
The Joker is from Pakistan?? Or is he a Tamil Tiger?
Who knew?
Cheers!

You know you are in danger when they name a bomb after your hometown!
Tamil Tigers? What’d they gain from blasts in Bangalore?
They’ve been cornered in Sri Lanka as it is.
You’ve got to watch this, in that case:

This came from a region on the outskirts of Bangalore.
NO cheers unfortunately.
The LTTE did have a major grudge against India when one of the prime ministers sent Indian troops to Sri Lanka to enforce a truce. He got assassinated for it.
Years after that, the LTTE had openly come out to regret the assassination.
NOW THEY ARE BOMBING THE CRAP OUT OF AHMEDEBAD, IN THE STATE OF GUJARAT~!! Crowded markets in many areas of the city, and at bus stops. Using small containers and on motorcyles abandoned.
