A new survey has shown that most Brit men would ditch their wives or girlfriends rather than give up their car.
According to the survey of 18,547 AA members, about three per cent of men would choose a motor over a partner and two per cent of women feel the same.
As many as 15 percent would give up drinking or holidays rather than go carless, while four percent would get rid of pets and 3 percent would even quit their job.
Motorists in the West Midlands, Wales and Northern Ireland seemed most attached to their cars.
Overall, 79 per cent said they could not imagine life without their motor.
"Despite the doom and gloom of fuel costs, the vast majority of motorists still enjoy driving," The Sun quoted AA president Edmund King, as saying. (ANI)

3% does not constitute ‘most’ by any definition. This is pretty substandard journalism.....

Since when does 3% mean most? I looked in the full article and it didn't clear that up at all.
That sentence is an outright lie, which is refuted by the following sentences... DUH!

that's "most" but 79% did not say they would choose their cars over their spouses. this is trash.

Why would they have to choose one or the other? Most women like a man to have a car.
Oh, man, I read that too quickly and thought it said "Cats".
I would suggest it entirely depends on the car you own, and the girlfriend you have.
An Aston Martin with a ‘minger’ bird is a no brainer.
A Robin Reliant with an Elizabeth Hurley bird is likewise, an easy decision.
Right now, hmmm...I will stand by my girl, just about ;)
