Hollywood stars Ben Affleck and Matt Damon and their pregnant wives turned up at a Miami fundraiser for presumptive Democratic presidential candidate Barrack Obama on Saturday.

Both the couples attended the orientation at club 'Set' to pledge their support for Obama.

According to reports, the actors also delivered speeches from the stage.

"Jennifer Garner gave the first speech supporting Obama, and she was very witty, clever and funny," Peoples Magazine quoted a source as saying.

"She was followed by her husband Ben, then Matt Damon. The men gave serious political speeches on how the country needs change," the source said.

Best of friends, Damon and Affleck made it pretty evident that they are supporting Obama over McCain, as he is a deserving candidate and a man of principles, who would head the country towards righteousness.

"For a lot of reasons, but mostly because I don't like the path this country's on and if McCain is elected we'll be continuing down that same path," Damon said, when asked as to why he was supporting Obama.

The stars seemed to be in jolly good moods, and were friendly to all the guests.

Later, the stars left in a Limo to attend a party at Anthony Kennedy Shriver's Miami Beach home. (ANI)

Bring us change...change we can believe in.

Well, during Obama's trip to Europe there was just something about his huge crowd in Berlin wildly cheering and supporting him as a populist candidate for change, something that evokes bad memories in the American consciousness.

Isn’t Matt Damon the one who has to fill his pockets with lead weights to keep from drifting off into space?

Why is this news? I will see them in a movie if it is good, but their opinion of who they will vote for is not for common knowledge. I don’t care who people vote for...it is one thing that people can choose. But why tout this news when everyone knows who they would support anyway. I am sadly voting for McCain but they are not doing a news story on my voting choice.

Hmmmmm.

Talentless actors (apologies for the redundancy), giving political speeches.

Will the media give its usual publicity when say. pharmacists expound on architecture?

....better than I ever could have said it. These are two actors that think because they have a couple of hit films that their IQ’s have gone up a hundred points and now everyone can’t wait to hear their quasi-political opinions.

The Hollywood Left.

Although I give them a little credit for not aborting their babies, how they can they be sure it’s theirs?

A sure sign of Affleck’s flailing acting career is the 180 turn towards politics. Yawn. And one would think Damon would have a better answer ready as to why he supports Obama other than the one he gave. Let's hear your specific opinions on the issues, boys! Or does that take just a bit too much honest-to-goodness thinking and risk, not just play-acting? LOL.
