"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing," Edmund Burke

Did you know that that Burke was an advocate of thinking for oneself? He would have fully understood the need to resist blind obedience.

As you well know, Mr. Cartman, 25% of Americans are complete retards. If we don’t elect McCain, the 25% of Americans who are complete retards will elect Obama.

"an Obama presidency might be “just what the doctor ordered”."

Obama-false-messiah is a God-send. He will lose in a landslide. Sorry to disappoint you.

Then we can start over again and do better next time.

So how did that work out when the Romans gave up on their Republic. It took about 1900 years before free governments were restored in the West. That is a little long for my taste. On the larger question there is a lot of evidence that this is coming, like it or not!

“25% of Americans are complete retards”

Unfortunately, many of them are conservatives.

No. The only way a voter elects anyone is to actually vote for that person. We in The West don't believe in collective guilt.

I haven't figured out which third party I'll be voting for, but I know I cannot vote for McCain nor Obama. But, anyone who votes for either man is giving his active assent toward the rush into socialism and government control of our lives by both parties.

It doesn’t say what anyone MUST DO ... only that, in his opinion, McCain MUST BE ELECTED ...

and, whether you like it or not, if you are in the USA, after January 20, 2009, you MUST live with the results of the November 4, 2008 election.

That result is up to each of us.

Now THAT is interesting. I tried to see the NYSun article this morning on how the anti-Obamanation bloggers were/are shut down by Google. Couldn’t. Took me almost an hour. Made me think a bot of some sort was written to spin/stop Net traffic. Now you say this.

I know I went to politico, Michelle Malkin, etc., after participating in the historic Tea Party last Friday. Site was compromised by the ‘Site Meter’ incident. FR was up. Made me proud to think that when someone gives a shout to man the battlements, people come. Here.

Sorry, but you failed to make your point. Moreover, the Founder’s understood the need for order, thus a republican form of government. They feared Democracy because they knew the majority could whip up the people into a frenzy and injustices would take place. The same idea holds true to rebellion and anarchy.
Charles was not telling anyone “WHAT” to do, but he is like many of us who have come too our senses, he sees OBAMA as a DANGER. Because I agree with Charles that does not mean that I am following anyone in “Blind Obedience”.

Agreed, and I will with no complaints. I will do what my conscience tells me is right, and right now, after long examination, it has told me not to vote for John MacCain. Whatever happens in November, I go into it knowing my conscience is clear. I've stood by my principles at personal and professional cost to myself when I was combating leftists, whyever would I now change my behaviour when I'm in disagreement with "conservatives"? To quote Luther, "Here I stand; I can do no other."

Someone on another thread stated that this is a referendum on Barack Obama, and while he is correct, he failed to mention that it's also a referendum on John McCain and whether or not conservatives will support him and so meekly acquiesce in the leftward slither of the GOP and the destruction of American conservatism as a political force with a viable future.

Actions are normative. They set precedent. While President Obama might be harmful to the nation, the election of President McCain will affirm the continued rise and metastasis of the Bush-Rockefeller/DemocratLite branch of the GOP. We don't need two leftist parties in America, which is precisely what the election of John McCain will create.

They say it's not worth losing one's soul to gain the whole world. If a man shouldn't compromise his soul and his beliefs to gain the whole world, whyever should he foolishly do it to benefit someone as absurdly abysmal as John McCain?

You still never indicated that you understood that Mr. Burke was a strong advocate of thinking for oneself.

Here is video of one of the truly great Neo-conservative voices today summing up in just under three minutes why is it essential for John McCain to be elected President.

“Would you want your surgeon graduating at the bottom 1% of his class?”

No, but I’m wondering what presidential “education” or “class” to which you infer McCain graduated at the bottom. That makes about as much sense as saying “Would you want your surgeon graduating at the bottom of his home ec class?”.

Uhhh, I really don’t care.

On the other hand McCain has over 30 years experience in Congress, served on many vital committees, and has been able to win re-election year after year.

I’d say McCain graduated at the top of his political class.

But that’s what id’s you 3rd party nano-boobs. You hear something you think is freakin wiser than Solomom and spare no chance regurgitating it, when it has absolutely no
intelligent value at all to anyone with any brains...except as an ice breaker at your Budweiser-Buzzathons in your double wide.

Seems several web sites are having problems and in some cases are being shut down if there is negative discussion of Obama.

And in that time first distinguished himself as one of the Keating-5, later to be followed by a career of shafting his own party. I still have too much self-respect to support anyone who's first slung crap at me and then demands my support.

I’d say McCain graduated at the top of his political class.

Mmmmm, not a good recommendation for anyone, especially one so far up Teddy Kennedy's backside, he can taste the scotch.
