France labeled as unacceptable a Rwandan report accusing French leaders of being involved in the 1994 genocide in which as many as 800,000 Rwandans died.
The 500-page report released by the Rwandan Justice Ministry accused 13 senior French politicians, including President Francois Mitterrand and former Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin, of supporting the preparation and execution of the genocide, The New York Times reported Thursday.
The report, issued Tuesday, said French soldiers in Rwanda joined in with genocidal forces in the systematic killing and rape of minority Tutsi refugees by the Hutu majority. France supported the Hutu government in a civil war with Ugandan-backed Tutsi exiles in the early 1990s.
Romain Nadal, a French Foreign Ministry spokesman, said the report was biased and contains unacceptable accusations against French politicians and military officials.

Paging John Kerry!!!!
I’m no fan of the French, but this just smacks of blaming whitey.
The French aren’t industrious enough to bother fighting for either side.
I am African. I live in Africa. I know the French.
The French are SOBs.
They can do it, and I am pretty sure they did it.
They have done similar stuff before (read up Bedel Bokassa).
The problem is that Americans are too gullible, France presents a ‘human rights’ face and you think that you and the French are on the same page.
Believe me, the only thing I'm on the same page with the French about is certain varieties of their cheeses.

You gotta “admire” how the French tossed Vietnam in America’s lap way back when.
Yes, even those Belgians(Yes, those ohsocivilized Belgies) did their share of HEAVY bloodletting, maiming and mass murder in the Congo in the last century. Adam Hochschild’s book, King Leopold’s Ghost is a hard and depressing read.
I absolutely buy this report. About time someone called the French on their post colonial colonial BS.
