Dear Friend,
I don't need to tell you that gas prices are high, but there is someone I do need to tell...
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.
...and I need your help to do it.
Please mail me your gas receipts and a short note about what your family has had to sacrifice because of out-of-control prices at the pump. I'll bundle together all the receipts and stories I receive and send them to Senator Reid. Together, we will send a message to Washington and show Harry Reid that high gas prices are hurting Oklahomans.
Please mail your gas receipts by August 21 to:
Jim Inhofe PO Box 13300 Oklahoma City, OK 73113
Harry Reid won't even allow debate on a single solution I've proposed with my colleagues. And now Congress is on a five week recess! I don't think he understands just how serious this is, but together we can show him.
In recent weeks, I have worked with other Congressional Republicans to bring down gas prices by expanding exploration of the Outer Continental Shelf (OCS), opening ANWR, developing America's oil shales, and expanding refining capacity.
Last month, I introduced the American Affordable Fuels Act of 2008 that includes these measures as well as the Drive America on Natural Gas Act, which would promote the use of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) vehicles.
And just last week, I teamed up with Representative Dan Boren to introduce the Marginal Well Production Preservation and Enhancement Act, which ensures the nation's policies recognize and reflect the economic importance of marginal well production.
But none of these ideas are even being considered because the Democrat Senate leadership is standing in the way. Let's send them a message by sending in our gas receipts.
So, please, mail your gas receipts by August 21 to me at:
Jim Inhofe PO Box 13300 Oklahoma City, OK 73113
Thank you,
Jim Inhofe
If he wants gas receipts then I shall try to help him out.
High time Inhofe and Coburn are taking Hairy and Nancy by the cajoles and doing something.
The only way to get their attention is to VOTE THE BASTARDS OUT!
If he wants fuel receipts, I got em.
I could send him last years and this years, same gallons, but thousands of dollars difference. ( I operate a small trucking company)
It's time to replace a bunch of stoopid misguided Dim Representatives not add to their number.
This Gas crisis is just the thing to rev up just how out of touch the Dims are with Americas future.
I think I can save the receipts and then let him know, "There goes a pair of steel toed boots for work."
Thank you.
Hairy and Nancy
Those two leftist peacocks are clueless about the cost of gas. If you said it cost you $100 to fill up your tank they would say and?????? Unless you buy an electric car and drive 40 miles an hour they’re not interested in your plith.
BTTT
In January of 2000,the price of gas was $1.27.In August of 2006,gas prices were at $3.03,under a Republican led Congress. Why weren't you asking for receipts at that time, when gas prices were up over 100% under Republican "leadership"?Must be election year.
How about a Fax?
Bump
Comment:
Thats a real positive spirit your showing.
By January of 2007 that price had come back down to 2.08 per gallon and lower in some other places.
I also believe that Republicans have made several attempts over the last 30 years to enact laws allowing more drilling, alternatives and new refineries but have been blocked repeatedly by Democrats.
We here on FR have beached and complained for some time the Republicans needed to do something and when they do, all we some can do is point out negatives.
We need a vote

Good point Okie.
The point is that in six years, five of them at war, three of them at double war, only a $1 incrase. Six years, $1...to $2 and change. Who wouldn’t want to pay that now?
In 18 months of the Drill Nothing Congress, the price of gas doubled, and the price of oil damn near tripled.
They aren’t doing anything other than grandstanding and pandering for votes.Sorry, but I’m fed up with the whole lot of politicians blowing sunshine up my ass.
Dear Quack:
You are a QUACK!! Why don’t you visit your friends at the DAILY KOOK and complain to them about gas prices. Matter of fact, you are a LLORT!
