BEIJING Michael Phelps has become the winningest Olympic athlete ever, earning his fourth gold medal of the Beijing Games with a world record in the 200-meter butterfly.
The American touched in 1 minute, 52.03 seconds, breaking his old mark of 1:52.09 set at last year's world championships in Australia.

Did they show the Phelps swim west coast live? He is swimming again at 1119 I think for number 11 in a relay.
So they are not showing the gymnastics live on west coast? Last night I was up till 3 am with the mens final.
Ray Ewry of the U.S. track & field team way back when also won ten gold medals.
How many gold medals did this win to break the all-time record? Did he exceed Mark Spitz?

I always thought the swimming competition would be better if they put sharks in the pool.
Since he’s such a good swimmer, maybe when the Olympics are over, we can have him just swim across the Pacific Ocean to get back home.

Don't worry - he's been dominating since he was 10. This isn't a recent occurrence.
Alexander Artemev had another great performance last night on the pommel horse. It was good enough to get the US team the bronze, after the two previous US pommel contenders flubbed their performances.
