In Hollywood docudramas, when the phrase "miscarriage of justice" is employed, it usually applies to the film's subject, not its creators.
But a new documentary called "Blocking the Path to 9/11," to be given a screening tonight, makes the case that former President Bill Clinton and Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton have pressured television and studio executives into quashing the DVD release of ABC's 2006 miniseries The Path to 9/11." The privately financed documentary argues that the Clintons, who decried the original miniseries as a right-wing hatchet job, are out to salvage their political influence and legacy at the expense of free expression.
The documentary, which will be shown to a sold-out audience at the Skirball Center, was produced by former KFI-AM talk show host John Ziegler and Citizens United, a Washington, D.C.-based conservative political group that emphasizes the importance of strong families, limited government and free enterprise.
Even before its network broadcast, "The Path to 9/11" sparked fierce opposition from Democratic leaders, who called on Disney, which owns ABC, to cancel the program. While those attempts eventually failed, ABC conceded to last-minute edits to the $40-million, five-hour miniseries, which aired over two nights.
The miniseries, written by Cyrus Nowrasteh, offered a fictionalized account of the government's bureaucratic missteps that led to the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in 2001. The series, which earned seven Emmy nominations and drew a combined audience of about 25 million viewers, was seen as being especially critical of the Clinton administration for bungling efforts to capture or kill Osama bin Laden.

Sometimes I do wonder who owns the stock of these HollyWeird companies, a mini series that cost 40 million to produce is not being offered to the public, that is lost revenues for Disney Corp.
No other business in the world would even attempt to function like that...
Ah, gotta love it. The Clintons are being exposed.
Part of the irony, if I recall correctly, is that the producer/director of “The Path to 9/11” is a typical liberal Hollywood type in his politics. But, he really wanted to make a docudrama that was historically accurate, even though it put the Clinton administration in a bad light.
I would love to see this documentary of the Clinton’s efforts to squash this DVD coming out. We can get even a bit for having to endure Michael Moore and “Farenheit 911”.
Finally, documentaries are supposed to be factual and not curry favor with certain people or points of view. Michael Moore prides himself on his movies, yet freely admitted he hoped “Farenheit 911” would have changed the outcome of the 2004 election if enough people had seen it.
And I blame W for breaking in with (what was it ? some last minute presser or something) for 15 or so minutes of the second night such that my DVR missed the ending.
I saw a Michael Moore movie on the tv guide listing and info’d it...it said it was a satirical movie. I laughed.
I saw the Path to 9/11 and thought it was excellent. It was not ideologically driven. It showed that terrorism was not a top priority of either Clinton or Bush administrations. One could find fault in both administrations. Democrats went ballistic. While Michael Moore and others can attack America, capitalism, and Bush, no one must display anything that could be construed as critical of Clinton. Democratic Senators threatened to revoke ABC’s broadcast license if the movie were shown. It was shown, but just ONCE. This is definitely a freedom of speech issue. ACLU where are you?
...so much can be said here...
Based on real life Blow Job blowed and got blowed while America burned.
