Yes - I noticed that the interviewer brushed the comment aside, but Walsh’s enthusiasm overshadowed it.
I’ve gotta say, the American athletes have shown nothing but class through every event. I’ve been so proud of all of them..win or lose, gracious and thankful and most all mentioning how proud they are to represent America. It’s been a great games! (Except for the Chinese cheating and all!)
I watched the interview and must say it was very nice to hear them thank the President "for all you do".
NBC reporter wasn't at all interested in the statement and immediately turned the conversation back to the scattering of the ashes of Misty's mother.
